FC Goa will be vying to become the #NewChampion of the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) when they take on Bengaluru FC in the grand finale at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday. Billed by many as the ‘dream final’, this match promises to be a nail-biting one, given the plethora of quality from both sides.

For FC Goa, Edu Bedia has been one of the standout players and could go on to have a decisive impact in their quest for silverware. Ahead of the showpiece event, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Spanish midfielder to uncover his thoughts. Here are the excerpts:

How are you feeling ahead of your first ever Hero ISL final?

I am very excited about it. I am ready for the day to come. Same for my teammates, as we have been working all year for this moment.

What are the lessons learnt from the last match against Bengaluru FC that will help in the Final?

Bengaluru FC are a tough team. But both the sides have finished at the top of the table for a reason. So, I think, the best two teams in the league are facing each other. But the Final is a completely different game. It would be a matter of details, as whoever will make fewer mistakes will take the victory.

Thoughts on Bengaluru FC's biggest asset.

They have a very strong defence. They concede fewer chances and goals. Upfront, they have a few players that can make the difference.

How important will it be to support Ferran Corominas in attack against such a solid defensive side?

Throughout the season, we have acted like a block. So, we all attack and we all defend. If we attack together, it will be better for our attacking players and if we all defend better, it will get better for our defence. So, as I said before, all of us attack and all of us defend.
