Kerala Blasters FC will play their final match of the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 season at home against NorthEast United FC on Saturday. The two-time Hero ISL finalists have endured a terrible season so far and will look to sign off with a positive result.

Before the match, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Kerala's young goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh for a chat. Here's what he had to say.

Thoughts on the season.

Unfortunately, we were not able to qualify for the semi-finals but it’s a part of the game. Either we win or we learn. We didn’t qualify but that doesn’t mean we’ve lost all hope. We still got to learn many things from the matches that we played, positives and negatives both. Whatever negative happened, we learned from it and the positive things that happened will take us further to grow as players and as a team. So, we're looking forward to the next match and hopefully, we’ll give our best to finish up our season with a positive result.

Thoughts on the match against NorthEast United FC.

Obviously, it’s going to be a tough match. NorthEast United FC had a good season this time around. But it's proven in the Hero ISL that any team can beat any team at any time, so we are well prepared for that. We got a week’s time to prepare ourselves and we’ve been preparing so well and we’ve been working hard to get something out of the last match. Hopefully, we’ll give our best and we're looking forward to getting three points to end the season. We’re really looking forward to the match and are full of energy to finish up the season on a positive note.
