Jamshedpur FC will play host to defending champions Chennaiyin FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Sunday. The Miners will be eager to make their home advantage count and bag all three points from the match.

Prior to the fixture, indiansuperleague.com interviewed Jamshedpur defender Dhanachandra Singh, who was a part of both of Chennaiyin's title-winning campaigns.

How are you adjusting with your new teammates and the new city?

First of all, I’d really like to thank the club for investing in me because they are giving me an opportunity this season. I’m really enjoying my time with this team.

Thoughts on head coach Cesar Ferrando.

Yes, he’s a very nice guy. He’s a very cool guy and he likes to play football. He wants to keep the ball and I’ve learnt a lot from him.

Thoughts on the season so far.

Right now, we are in the fifth position, so it isn’t good for us. We need to win the next few matches so we can move up the table.

How much do Chennaiyin FC and the city of Chennai mean to you?

Yes, I was in Chennaiyin FC for four years. It is really meaningful for me and I really thank them for giving me the opportunity to be part of Chennaiyin FC.

What do you miss most about Chennai?

The supporters, the fans, the Super Machans and the boss also. I really miss the boss.

Thoughts on playing against your former side.

Yes, this is a new team for me and this is a new season for me. I’m facing my previous side and hopefully, we can get a good result.
