FC Goa registered a convincing 3-0 win over Delhi Dynamos FC in the second leg their 2015 Hero Indian Super League semi-final tie at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda to enter the final. Goa headed into Tuesday’s game having to overturn a one-goal deficit and did so in style after scoring thrice to make it 3-1 on aggregate. Mandar Rao Dessai, who was a constant menace on the flanks for the Lions and completed the full 90 minutes, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the game. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

How has tonight’s result made you feel?

The feeling is amazing. It felt great to bounce back from a 1-0 result [away] with a 3-0 score and then move into the final.

What would you like to say about your performance tonight?

This is my job. On the field, I’ll be out there, maybe score a goal but definitely will give my best in each and every game and improve myself. It’s better for me and better for my team.

From being eliminated at this stage last season to making it to the final this year, do you think the hard work has completely paid off?

Yes, we have worked really hard for this, right from the pre-season training. We began the [second] season on a good note. We played a good season to reach the semis and now the final.
