Daniel Lalhlimpuia scored twice in four minutes for Delhi Dynamos FC to hand the Lions an incredible 3-2 win over table toppers Bengaluru FC. It was a special night for the young striker, who was a part of the Bengaluru setup last season.

After the match, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Daniel for an exclusive interview. Here are the excerpts.

Thoughts on your match-winning brace.

It felt very good to play against my former team (Bengaluru FC) and to score against them. Right now, they're the best team in the league and we didn't start the season very well. But, I think, this is a good day for us.

Does this win give you confidence ahead of the match against FC Pune City?

Yeah, it gives the team a boost. We have a week to prepare for the match against Pune. We will regroup ourselves and I think, we'll be at our best again to face them.

What has changed for the side since the break?

In the break, we went to Doha to try and assess our mistakes from the first part of the season and I think, we've learnt from our mistakes. This is what we are now. We will try to build on this.

For Bengaluru, it was a disappointing night as they saw their slump continue with the second loss in a row. Defender Juanan had a few words to share about the disappointing loss. Here's what he said.

What went wrong for Bengaluru FC today?

It was a difficult situation because we didn't win the last two matches but it is necessary that we change our mentality because we have the best team. Now is the moment to recuperate and forget these two matches and work for the next match against FC Goa because a win and a change in our mentality is a necessity.

What are the team's plans for the next two matches?

Continue the same work because I think the team is doing good work in training but today was a difficult situation. When you are leading 2-1, it isn't normal to concede two goals and lose the match. But we have to forget this match and prepare for the match against FC Goa and continue with the same mentality because this team works hard, very hard and I think all we need is to change the mentality. We can't look at the fact that we are in the semi-finals. Forget all this and keep a positive mentality in the next match.

Is there a fear of complacency now that Bengaluru FC are through to the semi-finals?

No, we work with the same mentality because we want to win all the matches. We lost this match but we will forget it. I've seen the team do good work in training and work very hard but we lost this match. This is football. But I think anything is possible for this team. We will prepare for a win in the next match and the team will fight 100% in that match.
