Having seen Bengaluru FC stumble at the last hurdle as the team's assistant coach last season, Carles Cuadrat will look to set things right this time around as the team's head coach. Much like last season, Bengaluru have put up a sensational showing in the league stages and semi-finals but all the hard work will count for little if they falter against FC Goa in the grand finale on Sunday.

Prior to the high-pressure encounter, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Bengaluru head coach for an interview. Here's what he had to say.

How are you feeling ahead of the Hero ISL final?

It’s a very nice moment. You start the season with that kind of a target and only two teams make it. So, we have to be proud to be one of the teams arriving at the final.

What’s the mood in the camp like?

We are working very well. I’m very happy with the attitude of the boys and the moment that we’re arriving at - the final. I think that we’re prepared for that, but you know, it’s a final and anything can happen.

Where on the field could the battle be won or lost?

It’s difficult to say because it’s a final and every little factor can have a big impact on what goes on in the match. So, I don’t know. I think that both the teams have really special players who can change the match with one action. So, let’s see what the performance of these key players are like.

Any gameplan to keep FC Goa's attacking threat at bay?

Yeah, we normally try to press the opponents. I guess that we are going to keep doing that kind of job.
