After the match, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the ecstatic youngster for a post-match interview. Here's what he had to say.

How does it feel to score your first Hero ISL goal?

It feels good when I can contribute to my team. It was a very important goal for my team because we won and now, we can easily qualify for the Hero Super Cup. So, it was very important for me and my team.

Can you tell us more about your celebration with goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharja?

From the first day of training, he always supported me on and off the field. He always motivates me. So, I had it on my mind that if I score someday, I would go directly to him and celebrate because he motivated me a lot.

You were making a lot of forward runs and ventured into the opposition box a lot. What was the strategy behind that?

When I came on, we were winning 1-0. So, the head coach told me to help Pritam (Kotal) as much as I can and to use my speed to run the ball out of danger.
