Wizards with the Ball: Players with most dribbles completed in ISL 2024-25
A look at the ISL’s top dribblers who dazzled defenders and lit up the league with their footwork.

Dribbling is an art. It’s not just about flair or making a defender look silly but also about progression, breaking the lines and creating chaos in the opposition’s box.
The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season served up plenty of that magic and a few standout players made a habit of gliding past defenders like they were training cones.
Here’s a look at the top 10 dribblers of the season.
1) Liston Colaco (Mohun Bagan Super Giant) – 44 dribbles completed
Colaco had a season to remember, leading the ISL in successful dribbles. With 44 take-ons completed, he was a nightmare for defenders. Whether he was hugging the left flank or drifting inside, Colaco’s mix of pace, close control and quick decision-making meant he was always a threat.
His three goals and two assists were vital as Mohun Bagan Super Giant did the double, clinching both the League Shield and the ISL Cup. The Goan was a key cog in Jose Molina’s high-octane setup and his dribbling numbers prove just how central he was to their transition and attack.
2) Alaaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC) – 41 dribbles completed
If there's one name that defined the ISL 2024-25 season, it’s Alaaeddine Ajaraie. The Moroccan forward wasn’t just a top dribbler, he was the standout performer of the campaign. With 23 goals and 7 assists, he finished as the league’s top scorer, third-highest chance creator, and arguably, the most complete attacking force Indian football has seen in recent years.
Ajaraie’s 41 dribbles were a crucial part of his domination. He terrorised defences week in, week out, weaving past defenders, and finishing with unerring precision. His blend of raw pace, elite ball control and clinical instincts helped NorthEast United FC reach the playoffs, a feat few had predicted at the start of the season.
3) Alberto Noguera (Bengaluru FC) – 41 dribbles completed
It’s not every day you see a playmaking midfielder rank this high on a dribbling list, but Noguera isn’t your average midfielder. With five goals and four assists to his name, the Spaniard played a pivotal role in Bengaluru FC’s run to the final.
Noguera's 41 completed dribbles reflect more than just trickery. His ability to glide past midfield markers and break lines, gave Bengaluru FC’s frontmen time and space to operate. Whether driving from deep or pulling defenders out of shape, Noguera’s movement with the ball was instrumental.
4) Vishnu PV (East Bengal FC) – 38 dribbles completed
One of the impressive wingers from the season, Vishnu PV was a key man for East Bengal FC. The youngster didn’t just impress with stats, with 4 goals and 3 assists but also with his sheer fearlessness.
He completed 38 dribbles and was often the brightest spark in EBFC’s attack. Whether on the wing or drifting infield, Vishnu’s ability to take on defenders and create space opened up crucial moments in games, helping East Bengal FC snatch vital wins.
5) Hugo Boumous (Odisha FC) – 34 dribbles completed
Hugo Boumous continues to be one of the most technically gifted players in the league. Now with Odisha FC, Boumous was their creative heartbeat, registering five goals and seven assists.
His 34 dribbles completed underscore his importance, not just as a passer but as someone who could carry the ball through traffic and shake off markers. Odisha FC narrowly missed the playoffs, but Boumous was a class act all season.
6) Abdul Rabeeh (Hyderabad FC) – 32 dribbles completed
Despite Hyderabad FC enduring a dismal season results-wise, Abdul Rabeeh was a rare positive. With no goals or assists to show, his numbers don’t stand out but his influence was undeniable.
He constantly tested full-backs, tried to stretch defences and brought energy to an otherwise struggling side. Sometimes, it’s not about the end product but about the pressure you create and Rabeeh created plenty.
7) Dejan Drazic (FC Goa) – 32 dribbles completed
With a goal and three assists, Drazic’s contribution to FC Goa’s semi-final charge was more subtle but absolutely crucial. He was the glue between midfield and attack, often dropping into spaces to collect the ball and drive forward.
His showed an ability to beat his man and open up space for other attackers. Drazic might not always make the headlines but his presence in the buildup was key for Manolo Márquez’s side.
8) Franca (Mohammedan SC) – 30 dribbles completed
In a season where Mohammedan Sporting Club struggled for consistency, Franca was their moment of flair. The Brazilian didn’t back down from a single duel and was constantly trying to beat his man even when the odds weren’t in his favor.
With a goal and an assist to his name, Franca’s numbers don’t tell the full story. His 30 dribbles completed show how often he tried to make something happen, giving the best defenders in the league a tough time.
9) Jithin MS (NorthEast United FC) – 28 dribbles completed
NorthEast United FC surprised quite a few by making the playoffs and Jithin MS was a big part of that. A constant source of creating chances, Jithin scored twice and provided five assists during the campaign.
Quick, smart, and always looking to cut in, Jithin’s progress this season has been a joy to watch.
10) Alexis Gomez & Ryan Williams (27 dribbles completed each)
Tied in 10th place are two very different players, both impactful in their own way.
Alexis Gomez, despite playing in a struggling Mohammedan SC side, was one of their most creative players. He managed a goal and an assist and created the most chances for his team. His dribbling was key to sparking counterattacks and creating chances.
Ryan Williams, on the other hand, was all-action for Bengaluru FC. With seven goals and four assists, the Aussie forward had a brilliant season. His dribbles often came in key moments, cutting inside to shoot or drawing fouls to relieve pressure. His ability to carry the ball and finish plays made him one of the most rounded attackers in the league.
