Week 8 of 2020-21 Hero ISL-Dream11 Fantasy came to an end this past Sunday. There were several great individual performances that caught the eye. As many as five braces came to pass this week from Halicharan Narzary, Diego Mauricio, Liston Colaco, Jordan Murray and Nerijus Valskis. For the second week running, Techno011 was the Hero ISL-Dream11 winner after accumulating a total of 5189.5 points. With Week 9 already underway, let’s look at the top performing stars from Week 8 and a couple of potential game-changers in the ongoing week.

Dream11 MVP of the Week

Jordan Murray (Kerala Blasters FC) - 215 Dream11 Points

With Gary Hooper still getting his bearings in the 2020-21 Hero ISL, Australian striker Jordan Murray has stepped to the fore for Kerala Blasters. Murray opened the scoring for the Kochi-based club against Odisha FC before assisting Hooper for their second goal. In their second game of the week against Jamshedpur, the striker scored twice in a space of three minutes to help his side to a much-needed victory.

Key performers from Week 8

Diego Mauricio (Odisha FC) - 176 Dream11 Points

Diego Mauricio has been one of Odisha’s best players this season, scoring five of their 10 goals so far. Two of these came in their win over Kerala Blasters, which was also their first victory of the ongoing campaign. The Brazilian attacker was also responsible for Odisha’s opening goal as his shot took a deflection of Jeakson Singh and deceived the goalkeeper. Mauricio, however, had a quiet game against Chennaiyin FC.

Joel Chianese (Hyderabad FC) - 172 Dream11 Points

Another Aussie who scored goals in consecutive matches was Hyderabad’s Joel Chianese. The forward opened the scoring against Chennaiyin FC and all four of his shots were on target. In their second game against NorthEast United, Chianese assisted Hyderabad’s opener before doubling the lead for his team. Hyderabad won both their matches of Week 8.

Hero ISL-Dream11 Recruiter: Players to look out for

In addition to the abovementioned players, here are a couple of names to keep an eye on in Week 9 of Hero ISL 2020-21.

Nerijus Valskis for Jamshedpur FC vs FC Goa and NorthEast United FC

The Jamshedpur forward has been in fine form this season, scoring eight goals in ten matches for his team. Valskis scored a brace in Week 8 as well, albeit in a losing cause against Kerala Blasters FC. Up against a FC Goa side that has only one clean sheet this season, fans can expect goals for the Lithuanian forward on Thursday. NorthEast United on Sunday is another opportunity this week for him to score goals.

Igor Angulo for FC Goa vs Jamshedpur FC and ATK Mohun Bagan

Leading the Golden Boot standings with nine goals this season is FC Goa’s Igor Angulo. The striker is the third highest Dream11 points-getter this season with 530 points. With just one goal separating him from Valskis, the Spaniard will hope to get more goals and extend his lead over the Lithuanian.  Last time these two teams had met, he had scored twice. And then there is another opportunity for him this week to score goals -- against ATK Mohun Bagan on Sunday.
