FC Goa’s Romeo Fernandes went down into the history books by scoring the 100th goal of the inaugural Hero Indian Super League (ISL) with a 33rd-minute strike at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa, on Monday night. The hosts went on to down NorthEast United FC 3-0.The young winger stole in from the right to latch on to a wonderful through ball from Czech striker Miroslav Slepička and hit the target with his second touch, beating rival goalkeeper Rehenesh TP all ends up. It was his second goal of the ISL.Ton-up Fernandes joins Atlético de Kolkata striker Fikru Teferra (1st), NorthEast United midfielder Kondwani Mtonga (25th), Kolkata midfielder Luis García (50th) and Kerala Blasters forward Iain Hume (75th) on the list of milestone goal scorers in the ISL.The 100th goal comes up in Match No. 46, with the league average standing at 2.17 goals per game as of today.
