With Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 approaching its midway point, Gameweek 7 proved to be another exhilarating one with plenty of stunning individual displays. Here are the 11 players that shone the brightest in the last five matches (based on individual player ratings in their respective match).

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (Bengaluru FC)

The Indian shot-stopper is continuing his fine run of form from last season, and earned his fifth clean sheet of the season against Odisha FC. The Bengaluru custodian made six saves and five clearances to keep his team’s narrow lead intact in the Blues’ last outing.

Juanan (Bengaluru FC)

The Bengaluru defender scored the only goal of the game against Odisha to ensure that the Blues maintained their unbeaten run this season. He also had a passing accuracy of 88% and made seven clearances.

Jessel Carneiro (Kerala Blasters FC)

Carneiro assisted Messi Bouli’s opening goal against Mumbai City FC, while also creating four other chances from out wide.

Raju Gaikwad (Kerala Blasters FC)

Gaikwad had a solid outing against Mumbai City and was the defensive stalwart for Kerala during the 1-1 draw against the Islanders. He had 69 touches of the ball – the most in the Kerala squad – and made six clearances and five crucial interceptions throughout the match.

Erik Paartalu (Bengaluru FC)

Since his return from injury, Paartalu has been a key performer for Bengaluru. Against Odisha, Paartalu assisted Juanan’s goal, and had a passing accuracy of 81%, while making five clearances as well.

Aitor Monroy (Jamshedpur FC)

The midfielder was a key figure for Jamshedpur in the 1-1 draw against Chennaiyin, amassing 100 touches for the home side. He prevented Chennaiyin from building a rhythm through the game putting in 5 successful tackles, two clearances, one interception and one block for Jamshedpur.

Javier Hernandez (ATK)

Apart from missing a good opportunity, Hernandez was a key player for ATK during their 3-0 win over NorthEast United FC. The Spaniard had 57 touches and created a chance for his team.

Edwin Vanspaul (Chennaiyin FC)

Vanspaul was key in preventing an attacking Jamshedpur team from breaking through Chennaiyin's defence time and again, particularly in the second half. He made nine clearances and six interceptions to prevent the home side from scoring until the 89th minute of the match.

Brandon Fernandes (FC Goa)

Brandon was a livewire for the Gaurs throughout their game against Hyderabad, creating five chances for his side. His corner led to the only goal of the game from Manvir Singh, which turned out to be the winner.

David Williams (ATK)

After scoring the opener in just the 11th minute against NorthEast, Williams assisted one of Roy Krishna’s goals and created five other chances. The Aussie hardly put a foot wrong in the entire match.

Roy Krishna (ATK)

The win over NorthEast propelled ATK to the top of the table and Krishna’s brace was a big part of the victory. ATK have now scored 15 goals in seven games with Krishna leading the way with six goals – the most by any player this season.
