Gameweek 2 of Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 picked up right where the first Gameweek left off, producing 14 goals in five matches - 4 more than the opening round. The Gameweek, however, was a lot more than just goals and saw some tremendous individual performances all over the pitch.

Here's the best XI from Gameweek 2 of Hero ISL 2019-20 based on the player ratings of individual matches.

Amrinder Singh (Mumbai City FC)

Making his second appearance in the list in as many Gameweeks is Mumbai City FC custodian Amrinder Singh. The ace goalkeeper had another great match between the sticks for the Islanders, as he registered yet another clean sheet to keep the Chennaiyin attack at bay in their own backyard, particularly keeping out waves of attacks by the home team in the first 15 minutes of the tie.

Carlos Pena (FC Goa)

Carlos Pena, too, finds himself in the team of the week for a second consecutive Gameweek after a brilliant defensive performance against Bengaluru FC. The veteran defender commanded the defence beautifully, limiting Bengaluru’s open chances to a minimum.

Mourtada Fall (FC Goa)

Mourtada Fall was the other rock in FC Goa’s defence alongside Carlos Pena. Fall was effective at keeping the Bengaluru FC attack at bay, managing 11 clearances for his side in the match.

Prabir Das (ATK)

Prabir Das has made an instant impact for ATK since returning from a serious knee injury which ruled him out of the previous season. The full-back assisted both of Edu Garcia’s goals as ATK went on to beat Hyderabad FC 5-0.

Subhasish Bose (Mumbai City FC)

The youngster led Mumbai City FC's all-Indian back four against Chennaiyin FC by example and produced a fine display to secure the clean sheet.

Udanta Singh (Bengaluru FC)

Facing Goa away is no mean task, but Bengaluru FC took the game to the Gaurs with a fine performance at the Fatorda. Centre to their endeavors was winger Udanta Singh, who put in a solid display and even scored Bengaluru's goal to give them the lead.

Xisco Hernandez (Odisha FC)

Despite losing to NorthEast, Odisha FC gave a good account of themselves at Guwahati spurred on by a brilliant Xisco Hernandez display in the midfield. The Spaniard also scored Odisha's only goal of the night.

Ahmed Jahouh (FC Goa)

After missing out on the first match due to suspension, Ahmed Jahouh made an instant impact for the Gaurs on his return. Despite Bengaluru dominating most of the tie, the ace midfielder created three chances for FC Goa, while helping out the defence when required as well.

David Williams (ATK)

After a somewhat disappointing opening match against Kerala Blasters, David Williams’ star quality was on show during ATK's match against Hyderabad FC. The Australian forward was involved in three of ATK’s five goals against Hero ISL newcomers Hyderabad FC. The Aussie scored two goals and assisted his strike partner Roy Krishna, with the pair's attacking prowess coming to the fore.

Asamoah Gyan (NorthEast United)

The talismanic Ghanaian sprung a late surprise on Odisha FC, with a late winner. The striker was an ever-present force in the NorthEast United FC attack and rounded his performance off with the winner and his maiden Hero ISL goal.

Sergio Castel (Jamshedpur FC)

The 24-year-old striker continued his fine form in front of the goal for Jamshedpur FC after slotting home a cool finish to complete the 3-1 win over Hyderabad FC.
