With the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 season about to enter its final quarter, clubs have stepped up their efforts to qualify for the semi-finals. Mumbai City FC and Chennaiyin FC strengthened their case for fourth place, whilst Bengaluru FC and ATK FC earned valuable points in their hunt for the top spot. Looking back, here are the top individual performers from the recently-concluded Gameweek, based on their ratings from the matches.

Arindam Bhattacharja (ATK FC)

The two-time champions trumped top four rivals, FC Goa in their last match with the 30-year-old Arindam playing a key part in the victory. Despite facing 11 shots, the ATK stopper managed to keep his seventh clean sheet this term, wherein he also contributed with five clearances and two saves.

Pritam Kotal (ATK FC)

Besides being at his usual defensive best in the win over Goa, the India international also scored his first goal of the season, which opened the floodgates and allowed ATK to play at their own pace. Kotal also accounted for six clearances and three tackles in the match.

Mohamad Rakip (Kerala Blasters FC)

Although the result didn’t go in his team’s favour, the 19-year-old shone with a brilliant performance at right-back. Rakip made ten clearances, five blocks and seven tackles against Jamshedpur FC, whilst also keeping the game ticking with a 77% passing accuracy.

Lucian Goian (Chennaiyin FC)

While the two-time champions failed to earn a clean sheet against Jamshedpur, they did well to keep Sergio Castel quiet and limit his effect on the game. Goian was a major reason behind this as he managed 16 clearances, three interceptions and had a 100% passing accuracy in the fixture.

Anirudh Thapa (Chennaiyin FC)

Playing the entirety of the 90 minutes, the midfielder ran the show for Chennaiyin and even chipped in with an assist. Thapa was impressive in both sides of the pitch, as he completed 80% of his passes and accounted for six clearances and as many interceptions.

Aitor Monroy (Jamshedpur FC)

During Jamshedpur’s win over the Blasters, the Spaniard produced one of his best performances yet in a Jamshedpur shirt. The midfielder kept things ticking and constantly threatened Kerala with his incisive passing. He also played a role in two of Jamshedpur’s three goals on the night. In the defensive phase, Monroy chipped in with five clearances and as many tackles. The Spaniard also put in an impressive shift against Chennaiyin, completing 53 passes and created two chances.

Lallianzuala Chhangte (Chennaiyin FC)

Playing on the left-hand side of the attack, the India international continued his fine recent form and scored only his second goal of the season so far. Chhangte’s pace and trickery disturbed Jamshedpur’s backline time and again, ultimately helping Chennaiyin clinch all three points.

Rafael Crivellaro (Chennaiyin FC)

Having been granted a free role behind the two strikers, the midfielder enjoyed a productive evening against Jamshedpur, where he created six chances and grabbed an assist. The playmaker also attempted three shots and had 57 touches during the fixture.

Modou Sougou (Mumbai City FC)

The Portuguese continued his fine run of form in the win over the defending champions Bengaluru, scoring the all-important first goal that helped the Islanders assert their authority. Sougou also attempted three crosses while both his attempts during the game, hit the target.

Messi Bouli (Kerala Blasters FC)

The Cameroonian forward was one of the better performers on a disappointing night for the Blasters against Jamshedpur. He scored his sixth goal for the club from one of the three shots he took during the match.

Nerijus Valskis (Chennaiyin FC)

The 32-year-old Lithuanian attacker was a constant threat for Jamshedpur’s defence, as he scored two goals from the four shots he took during the match. Valskis also created one chance and had a total of 39 touches.
