Chennaiyin FC bagged their second Hero Indian Super League (ISL) title after beating Bengaluru FC 3 – 2 in the final at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. A team that has been consistent throughout, the Marina Machans are now the joint most successful Hero ISL team along with ATK. Bengaluru FC were dominant throughout the league and it took some doing on Chennaiyin’s part to beat the Blues at their den. But Mailson Alves’ headers and Raphael Augusto’s sublime effort ensured that the trophy went back to Chennai. In recognition of their achievement, a number of ISL stars and notable others poured in with congratulatory messages on twitter. Here are some of the best ones.
