ISL Golden Moments: André Moritz bags the ISL's first-ever hat-trick

Brazilian midfielder André Moritz made sure Mumbai City FC’s first-ever Hero Indian Super League home fixture was an unforgettable one for the fans at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Against state rivals FC Pune City in a match billed as the ‘Maharashtra derby’, Moritz led Mumbai City to a 5-0 victory. He opened the scoring in the 12th minute, with a mazy run on the right wing followed by a shot from just outside the box which was placed precisely into the bottom corner. Fifteen minutes later, he doubled the scoring, with a deft flick with the outside of his left boot from a corner kick. While the outcome of the game was more or less certain by the end of the first half, Moritz added the icing on the cake in the 71st minute. Latching onto a mis-hit clearance, he drove into the box before powering home a shot with his weaker right foot to score the first hat-trick in ISL history.
