ISL Fantasy MW20 Early Deadline: Saturday, March 30, 03:30 PM IST

Following the two-week international break, the Indian Super League (ISL) is gearing up for its most pivotal phase as it resumes this Saturday. With only three Matchweeks remaining in the season, everything will be decided during this period, presenting ISL fantasy managers with a crucial opportunity to maximize their chances and secure significant prizes.

However, fantasy managers won’t have an easy go as another tricky matchweek awaits them. Odisha FC and Jamshedpur FC return to action after a blank in MW 19, while NorthEast United FC and FC Goa are set to sit out this week. Matchweek 20 will also see Odisha FC and Kerala Blasters FC featuring twice.

To tackle this challenge effectively, fantasy managers have the chance to utilize any remaining chips at their disposal. Those with their second wildcard remaining could consider using it not only to navigate this week but also to strategize for the remaining three matchweeks.

Matchweek 19 Summary

With two big wins in MW 19, Mohun Bagan Super Giant assets delivered handsome points to their owners. With three assists and a goal over two matches, Dimitri Petratos accumulated the maximum points (16) in MW 19. Jason Cummings, with 11 points, also made it to the top five list, while Armando Sadiku and Liston Colaco, both with 10 points, finished just behind the Australian forward. Mumbai City FC’s Vikram Partap Singh elevated his gameplay to another level in MW 19 as he bagged his first hat-trick in the ISL. FC Goa duo Boris Singh (14 pts) and Noah Sadaoui (12 pts) were the two other players to make it to the top five list.

Matchweek 20: What to expect?

NorthEast United FC and FC Goa may have blanks in MW 20, but both sides will play twice in Matchweek 21, along with Jamshedpur FC and Chennaiyin FC. So, ISL Fantasy managers will have a decision on their hands whether to hold onto the players from these teams or replace them with those who will see action.

Top Picks for Matchweek 20

Roy Krishna (Odisha FC): The Kalinga Warriors have fallen away from the League Shield race with their defeat against Chennaiyin FC. With Odisha FC playing two matches in MW 20, they would be keen to secure wins in both matches and be in contention for the Shield. For that, they will bank on their ever-reliable forward, Roy Krishna, who has been in terrific form, jointly leading the goal-scoring chart with 12 goals.

Dimitrios Diamantakos (Kerala Blasters FC): The Greek forward bagged a brace in their 4-3 defeat to Mohun Bagan SG in the previous game. The Blasters will be looking at him for goals once again as they look to seal their playoff berth this week. With Kerala Blasters FC playing twice in MW 20, owners can expect a big haul from the attacker.

Dimitri Petratos (Mohun Bagan SG): The Mariners will be playing at home against a struggling Chennaiyin FC side who have lost all of their last four away matches. Petratos is the man in form, having made an attacking return in each of his last three matches. Managers can anticipate him to once again be among the points in MW 20.

Top differential picks for Matchweek 20

Fedor Cernych (Kerala Blasters FC): The Lithuanian captain has a goal and an assist to his name in his last three appearances in the ISL. He also scored for his nation in their recent win against Gibraltar. The in-form player with an ownership of 2% could make an impact on your team this week.

Vikram Partap Singh (Mumbai City FC): The Mumbai City FC forward bagged his first senior hat-trick last week and will be keen to get going again when they face bottom-placed Hyderabad FC this week. Singh is owned by just 2% of fantasy managers and could help you climb up the rankings.

Isak Vanlalruatfela (Odisha FC): Despite an ownership of 9%, Vanlalruatfela can still be considered a significant differential considering the number of key assets Odisha FC possess. The winger has been in fine form this season and could pose a significant threat to Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC.

Captaincy Choice: Roy Krishna (Odisha FC)

Both Krishna and Diamantakos are tied jointly for the Golden Boot race with 12 goals, and with both their sides playing twice this week, there could be huge debates between these two for the captaincy pick. However, with Odisha FC still in the race for the League Shield, the next two matches are must-win for them, and Krishna has always been clutch in this situation.
