ISL Fantasy MW19 Deadline: Saturday, March 9, 06:00 PM IST

ISL Fantasy managers can brace themselves for another challenging matchweek, with Mohun Bagan Super Giant and FC Goa set to play twice, while Odisha FC and Jamshedpur FC will be absent from the action.

After a break in MW 18, the Mariners will return to face arch-rivals East Bengal FC and Kerala Blasters FC in MW 19.

Matchweek 19 of the Indian Super League (ISL) will showcase six matches over the next six days before a two-week pause for the International break.

Managers will need to tweak their squads, and the option for using chips remains open based on the current team.

Matchweek 18 Summary

Three teams – Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, and Punjab FC – featured twice in the previous week. While the Highlanders didn't achieve their desired results and couldn't earn the expected points for their owners, players from the other two teams racked up points in full swing.

Punjab FC forward Wilmar Jordan Gil scored one goal in each match and also made an assist, taking his points tally to 14 – the highest by a player in MW 18. Madih Talal (12) and Ravi Kumar (9) also earned spots on the top five list, while Lallianzuala Chhangte (12) and Iker Guarrotxena (9) of Mumbai City FC were the two other top-scoring performers from the week gone by.

Matchweek 19: What to expect?

FC Goa and Mohun Bagan Super Giant are the teams to focus on in MW 19, as both are scheduled to play twice during the week. ISL Fantasy managers will face the decision of whether to play the triple captain chip on any player from these two teams or utilize the bench boost option to capitalize on the occasion.

Chennaiyin FC, welcoming bottom-placed Hyderabad FC at the Marina Arena, are another team to consider taking a punt on this week.

Top Picks for Matchweek 19

Dimitri Petratos (Mohun Bagan Super Giant): The forward is the most transferred-in player in MW 19. Having been in fine form, he has scored three goals in his last five appearances and is likely relishing the opportunity to add to his tally when he plays against arch-rivals East Bengal FC and Kerala Blasters FC this week.

Noah Sadaoui (FC Goa): The FC Goa midfielder, who has recently been seen playing alongside Carlos Martinez in the double striker role, scored the decisive goal in their win against East Bengal FC last week. However, Sadaoui could have easily secured a hat-trick had he capitalized on his chances. The Moroccan currently holds the highest ownership among ISL fantasy players with a 38% ownership rate.

Rafael Crivellaro (Chennaiyin FC): The Brazilian is also listed among the most-owned players and played a crucial role in taking the early lead against Odisha FC with his corner. Crivellaro, who leads the assist chart with six assists, will be eager to contribute further when they face the young Hyderabad FC side on Saturday.

Top differential picks for Matchweek 19

Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan Super Giant): Playing as a wide forward, Singh has consistently posed a threat in Antonio Habas’ system. The 28-year-old accumulated two assists and created another goal during their 3-0 victory over Jamshedpur FC at home in MW 17. Owned by 3% of fantasy managers, he could be a significant threat in the upcoming double matchweek.

Carlos Martinez (FC Goa): The 37-year-old has scored five goals and provided two assists this season. Owned by only 3% of fantasy managers, Martinez could serve as a considerable differential in MW 19, especially given that FC Goa is set to play two matches this week, aiming for victories in both.

Joni Kauko (Mohun Bagan Super Giant): Midfielder options have been somewhat limited so far, but Kauko could be the ideal choice for managers seeking a midfield option. The Finnish player has shown his prowess in big games and is poised to step up for his side in the upcoming two matches. With only 3% ownership among fantasy managers, he presents an opportunity for climbing up the rankings in MW 19.

Captaincy Choice: Dimitri Petratos (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

With Mohun Bagan Super Giant having a double matchweek, Petratos emerges as a great pick for MW19, especially considering the Australian's current rich vein of form. He is poised to contribute significantly to benefit his owners, as his side aims for a giant leap in the League Shield race during MW 19.

Another captaincy option worth considering is FC Goa’s Noah Sadaoui. However, it's essential to bear in mind that he is just one yellow card away from suspension. This factor gives Petratos a slight advantage in the captaincy decision for the upcoming week.
