The last Matchweek of this season's Indian Super League (ISL) was truly remarkable, featuring an intense battle for the coveted League Shield right up to the final game where Mohun Bagan Super Giant clinched the silverware by defeating Mumbai City FC in a thrilling encounter. Besides that, it was Chennaiyin FC who secured their place in the sixth and final playoff spot after a stiff battle from other teams in contention.

The Mariners not only played the Shield decider against Mumbai City FC at home in Kolkata, but also faced Bengaluru FC, making them the only team to play two fixtures in Matchweek 22. Remarkably, they emerged victorious in both matches.

Fantasy managers in the ISL had a field day if they owned players from Mohun Bagan SG, as they accumulated plenty of points in the last Matchweek. With a total of five goals scored and one clean sheet maintained across their two games, it's no surprise that three of the top five highest-scoring players from the final Matchweek belong to Mohun Bagan SG.

Let's take a closer look at the top five highest point scorers from the season's last Matchweek.

Hector Yuste-Mohun Bagan Super Giant (13Pts)

Yuste's contribution was instrumental in securing a clean sheet against Bengaluru FC, where he also found the back of the net, accumulating 11 points despite receiving a yellow card. Although he couldn't replicate the same level of performance in the subsequent match against Mumbai City FC, he still managed to record double-digit figures, finishing as the highest scorer for Matchweek 22, rewarding nine percent of his owners with his stellar performance.

Madih Talal-Punjab FC (13Pts)

Punjab FC midfielder Madih Talal secures the second spot on our top five fantasy scorers list for Matchweek 22, tying with Yuste at 13 points. Talal has undoubtedly stood out as one of the top international players in this season of the ISL, playing a pivotal role in Punjab FC's commendable performances as they transitioned to the top tier of Indian football. Despite narrowly missing out on the playoffs after a hard-fought campaign, Punjab FC finished eighth in the standings.

Talal has been a consistent presence in all of Punjab FC's matches this season, showcasing his skills with six goals and an impressive 10 assists, creating a total of 57 goal-scoring opportunities. In their lone game of Matchweek 22 against Carles Cuadrat's East Bengal FC, the Frenchman earned two points for his 85 minutes on the pitch. However, Talal truly shone by providing two exquisite assists and a remarkable goal against the Red and Gold Brigade, culminating in a joint-highest tally of 13 points for his fantasy owners.

Dimitrios Petratos-Mohun Bagan Super Giant(12pts)

Mohun Bagan SG forward Petratos secured the third spot with a total of 12 points, just one point shy of the top two finishers. The Australian has been a vital asset for Mohun Bagan SG's, contributing significantly to their latest Shield glory with 10 goals and six assists in 20 appearances this season.

Petratos showcased his endurance by playing a total of 180 minutes, rightfully earning four points. Despite not scoring in Mohun Bagan SG's impressive 4-0 victory over Bengaluru FC, Petratos made a crucial contribution by providing an assist in that match. In the crucial League Shield decider, he played a pivotal role by setting up both of his team's goals in their 2-1 triumph over Mumbai City FC, tallying three assists in Matchweek 22 overall. Unfortunately, Petratos received a yellow card in the intense Shield clash against Mumbai City FC, resulting in a deduction of a point and concluding with a total of 11 points for the Matchweek.

Parthib Sundar Gogoi, the young talent from NorthEast United FC, secures the fourth position in our rankings. Gogoi has been enjoying a fruitful second season in the ISL, showcasing his prowess with five goals and four crucial assists under the guidance of head coach Juan Pedro Benali.

Despite NorthEast United FC missing out on a playoff spot, they concluded their season on a positive note with a victory against Odisha FC, securing a seventh-place finish on the ISL points table.
