The Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 season resumed with Matchweek 13 after a month-long break, also marking the return of the ISL Fantasy game. Ahead of the Matchweek, managers had the opportunity to make unlimited transfers, and many strategically capitalised on Jamshedpur FC players who had played two games in the previous Matchweek.

Fantasy managers who owned attacking players from Jamshedpur FC, such as Jeremy Manzorro, Imran Khan, and Daniel Chukwu, reaped the rewards with impressive point hauls, contributing to green arrows in their overall rankings. The team's double-header in the previous week proved beneficial for fantasy enthusiasts.

Matchweek 13 proved to be a goal-filled extravaganza, with a total of 20 goals scored across six games. FC Goa stood out as the only team to secure a clean sheet, resulting in a high-scoring Matchweek for fantasy managers.

That being said, here’s a look at the top scorers from the previous Matchweek.

Imran Khan (Jamshedpur FC) - 14 points

Imran Khan has emerged as a vital player for Jamshedpur FC under the guidance of head coach Khalid Jamil. Despite a modest ownership of just 2%, Khan proved to be a rewarding asset for fantasy managers during Matchweek 13. He found the back of the net in both of Jamshedpur FC’s Matchweek 13 encounters, contributing to a draw against NorthEast United FC and a victory against Mumbai City FC. Khan's goals were not only skillfully executed but also indicated a notable resurgence in his confidence on the field.

Maintaining an affordable price tag of Rs 4.3 CR, Imran Khan continues to be one of the top choices among budget-friendly attacking midfielders in the game.

Jeremy Manzorro (Jamshedpur FC) - 14 points

Manzorro matched his teammate Khan's impressive tally of 14 points, securing the joint-highest goal scorer position for Matchweek 13. Despite not contributing any goals against NorthEast United FC, the French midfielder showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting a brace in Jamshedpur FC's exhilarating comeback victory against Mumbai City FC. With just a 2% ownership among managers, Manzorro is available at a reasonable price of Rs 4.9 CR.

Operating effectively in the box-to-box role under coach Khalid Jamil, Manzorro has not only adapted well but has also assumed responsibility for spot-kick duties at Jamshedpur FC. These factors combine to make him one of the most valuable budget-friendly players in the ISL Fantasy.

Daniel Chukwu (Jamshedpur FC) - 13 points

Chukwu continues to be a crucial presence in the attacking lineup for Jamshedpur FC under coach Khalid Jamil, and his significance was evident once again in Matchweek 13. Despite not scoring any goals in the previous week, the forward showcased his all-round abilities by contributing to three goals with three assists. This unexpected but impactful performance marked a significant contribution to his team's success.

With a 5% ownership among managers, Chukwu's versatility and ability to create opportunities have made him a valuable asset in the fantasy game. Priced at Rs 5.8 CR, he secured his second double-digit point haul of the season.

Madih Talal (Punjab FC) - 10 points

Talal ran the show for Punjab FC in their remarkable 3-1 comeback victory against Bengaluru FC on home turf. The midfielder exhibited his playmaking ability by providing a sublime through ball to set up Luka Majcen for Punjab FC's second goal. Additionally, Talal capitalised on an opponent's mistake, further extending his team's lead with a well-taken goal. His impactful contributions added a sharp and decisive edge to Punjab FC's attack, underscoring his significance to the team.

Priced at Rs 5.4 CR, Talal's creativity and goal threat are garnering attention, making him a noteworthy player in ISL Fantasy.

Roy Krishna (Odisha FC) - 10 points

Roy Krishna showcased his exceptional form in Matchweek 13, playing a pivotal role in Odisha FC's comeback victory against Kerala Blasters FC at the Kalinga Stadium. The Rs7.5 CR striker delivered a standout performance by scoring a brace within four minutes during the second half, both goals executed with powerful headers. This remarkable display marked the second consecutive Matchweek where Krishna achieved a double-digit point haul, following his outstanding 19-point performance in Matchweek 12 – a record for any player in the game.

Meanwhile, FC Goa striker  Carlos Martinez also matched Krishna's impressive points tally by securing the same number of points. Martinez's brace played a crucial role in guiding the Gaurs to a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Hyderabad FC, further contributing to the dynamic goal-scoring action in Matchweek 13.
