ISL Fantasy: Best XI for Matchweek 24
As the Indian Super League (ISL) is on the verge of completing another successful season, Matchweek 24 comes with exciting fixtures on the final stretch of the eleventh season of the league.
NorthEast United FC will be out of action this week so the fantasy managers have to be smart in picking their forwards as the highest-scoring forward, Alaaeddine Ajaraie, sits out this week.
The recent Matchweek saw Mohun Bagan Super Giant clinching the League Shield, becoming the first team to defend the Shield in ISL history. Jamshedpur FC also qualified for the playoffs as the third team after Mohun Bagan SG and FC Goa.
With three more slots yet to be filled, this Matchweek could be decisive for mid-table teams who are vying for their spots in the top six. With the playoffs approaching, it’s the best time to use the remaining chips, if available, and strategize your squad to bag maximum points at this stage of the league stage with still plenty to fight for many teams.
📢 Don’t miss out! Submit your team before the Matchweek 24 deadline! 📢

That said, here are our picks for the upcoming Matchweek.
Goalkeeper
Albino Gomes (Jamshedpur FC) - 4.5 CR
Albino Gomes has racked up the second highest fantasy points (87) among the goalkeepers this season, making him a strong pick at the goalkeeper position. Known for his sheer penalty-saving abilities and sharp reflexes, the Indian shot stopper has played a pivotal role in Jamshedpur FC’s playoff qualification under Khalid Jamil’s stewardship.
Gomes has also kept a clean sheet against Mohammedan Sporting Club in their recent away fixture, marking his fourth clean sheet of the 2024-25 season. He takes on a struggling Kerala Blasters FC side who have scored just twice in their last five games.
Defenders
Alberto Rodriguez (Mohun Bagan SG) - 5.5 CR
Alberto Rodriguez's sturdy blocks and robust clearances have been a treat to watch throughout the season, as the Spaniard has been rock solid at the Mariners' backline, guiding Mohun Bagan SG to record crazy defensive numbers. Under Molina's guidance, the Mariners became the first side to keep six clean sheets in successive games. Moreover, they haven't conceded a goal in the last 570 minutes, which is also an ISL record.
Beside leading the charges in the defensive half, Rodriguez has also shown his knack for finding the back of the net, as he scored five goals this season while being the second-highest fantasy point scorer (160) overall.
Muhammad Uvais (Jamshedpur FC) - 4.2 CR
Muhammad Uvais bagged 11 points in the recent Matchweek, becoming the highest-scoring defender. His ability to contribute both in the attacking and defensive half as a full-back has made him a crucial part of Jamshedpur FC's style of play.
Priced at only 4.2 CR, Uvais can be a handy pick, considering the way he has performed all season.
Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) - 5.2 CR
The Mohun Bagan SG captain has not only delivered commanding performances on the pitch, leading his team to defend the League Shield title, but also offered a flurry of fantasy points to the managers. Bose has bagged the most fantasy points (190) this season, surpassing everyone in this regard.
Bose has been a solid pillar in the Mariners' defense line, helping his side register 12 clean sheets, which is outright the most in league history. Moreover, the versatile defender has proved his worth also in the opposition half, scoring six goals for the Kolkata giants, making him the highest goal-scoring defender of the ongoing ISL season.
Manoj Mohammed (Hyderabad FC) - 4 CR
Manoj Mohammed, who scored his first ISL goal against East Bengal FC in December, is set to face his former side once again this week. Mohammed has been a regular starter under Shameel Chembakath, showcasing his potential during the season.
Considering his final third entries, ball distribution, and impactful runs through flanks, the Hyderabad FC full-back could be an interesting differential choice for your fantasy team.
Midfielders
Connor Shields (Chennaiyin FC, Vice Captain) - 7.2 CR
Connor Shields is the highest-scoring Chennaiyin FC player in the ongoing season with 82 fantasy points. Known for his creative spark at the heart of the pitch, link-up play, and anchoring role in transitions, Shields has been a creative hub for the Marina Machans and is an attractive option for fantasy managers.
Chennaiyin FC will face Bengaluru FC in the opening fixture this week. Given Shield’s playmaking skills and effectiveness in attacking transitions, Chennaiyin FC’s midfield general could be the decisive option for your team.
Naorem Mahesh Singh (East Bengal FC) - 7.3 CR
Naorem Mahesh Singh has finally found his goalscoring touch as he scored in back-to-back games against Mohammedan SC and Punjab FC. Mahesh has picked nine points in the past Matchweek, the highest amongst East Bengal FC players.
Under Oscar Bruzon's guidance, Mahesh has been seen operating centrally, orchestrating attacking moves while also helping his side regain ball possession. With his work rate and defensive contributions, he has the ability to amass defensive points as well as notch offensive numbers.
Alberto Noguera (Bengaluru FC) - 9.2 CR
Alberto Noguera was the highest scorer last week with 12 fantasy points. The Spanish midfielder has scored three goals in the last two matches against Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC, delivering match-winning performances for the Blues.
Noguera is also the highest-scoring Bengaluru FC player this month with 30 points. Given his recent peak form and all-around impact on the field, Noguera is a no-brainer for your fantasy side.
Ryan Williams (Bengaluru FC) – 7.5 CR
Ryan Williams opened the scoring against the Highlanders in the Blues' 2-0 victory away from home. The Aussie midfielder has been instrumental with his speedy runs, off-the-ball movements, and knack for finding himself at the right place at the right time.
Williams, who scored 10 points this week, is the third-highest scoring midfielder for Bengaluru FC this season.
Forwards
Diego Mauricio (Odisha FC) - 9.1 CR
Despite missing the last game against Mohun Bagan SG, Diego Mauricio will be back in action this week against Mohammedan SC. The Brazilian forward is the highest-scoring forward for the Kalinga Warriors with 88 fantasy points.
Mauricio has 15 goal contributions in the ongoing season. With Odisha FC set to host Mohammedan SC, a team who have conceded the most number of goals, Mauricio is an ideal pick-up front and a reliable candidate to be in your fantasy team.
Iker Guarrotxena (FC Goa, Captain) – 9.4 CR
Since returning from injury, Iker Guarrotxena has been a potent threat for opponent defenders and FC Goa's dependable starter for his regular goal contributions. The Spanish forward has bagged 26 fantasy points this month, which is the highest among his teammates, making him a considerable option to lead your fantasy side.
Following his goals against Mumbai City FC and Kerala Blasters FC, Guarrotxena has scored in back-to-back ISL games for the third time. Moreover, he is the third-highest goalscorer for FC Goa in the ISL with 17 goals to his name. FC Goa take on a Punjab FC side who have been struggling to keep clean sheets and Guarrotxena will be desperate to continue his goalscoring streak.
Substitutes
Hrithik Tiwari (FC Goa) - 4.2 CR
Tiwari is a great option as a backup goalkeeper in his category. The FC Goa shotstopper kept a clean sheet against the Blasters, marking his sixth of the current season and has also been instrumental for his side, making many crucial saves.
Korou Singh (Kerala Blasters FC) - 4.5 CR
Korou Singh is an interesting option in your substitute list and is one of the few budget attacking players available at this price point. The teenager has five goal contributions in 14 matches, enjoying an impactful season with the Blasters.
Jamie Maclaren (Mohun Bagan SG) - 11.5 CR
Known for his smart instincts in the opposition half and his sheer quality to convert half chances, Maclaren is a valuable pick for fantasy managers. Despite missing out on the opportunities to score against Odisha FC, the Aussie sensation will be keen to score against Mumbai City FC. He is the top scorer for the League Shield champions this season with 10 goals.
Hmingthanmawia Ralte (Mumbai City FC) - 4.2 CR
Hmingthanmawia Ralte is the third highest-scoring Mumbai City FC defender with 115 fantasy points. Ralte has been a crucial member in Petr Kratky's setup and offers a cheap route into the Mumbai City FC backline which have kept a lot of clean sheets this season.
