ISL Fantasy: Best XI for Matchweek 18
Matchweek 18 of the Indian Super League presents another challenge for fantasy managers, with Punjab FC and NorthEast United FC not in action, while Chennaiyin FC play twice.

The Indian Super League (ISL) is now entering its decisive stage, where every point counts more than ever—in both the real league and ISL Fantasy.
Matchweek 18 kicks off on Tuesday, following last week's exciting double week. This week brings a new challenge and opportunity for fantasy managers to gain an edge.
Chennaiyin FC will feature twice in Matchweek 18, while NorthEast United FC and Punjab FC will be out of action. To help you make the most of this, we've put together the top players to target for the upcoming week.
Goalkeeper
Mohammad Nawaz (Chennaiyin FC) – 5.1 CR
Nawaz has cemented his place in goal for Chennaiyin FC. The custodian had a busy night against Mohammedan SC last week, including a crucial penalty save. With Chennaiyin FC playing twice in Matchweek 18, Nawaz becomes an intriguing option to include in your squad.
Defenders
Aakash Sangwan (FC Goa) – 5.0 CR
Sangwan played a solid game, keeping East Bengal FC’s PV Vishnu quiet and helping his side finally earn a clean sheet and three points. He remains a crucial player to consider for the upcoming week, as FC Goa hosts Chennaiyin FC.
Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) – 5.0 CR
The top-scoring defender this season, Bose was once again on the scoresheet for the Mariners last week, netting his fourth goal of the season. With his high ownership, he remains a strong pick, even though Mohun Bagan SG face another tricky away match against Chennaiyin FC.
Stephen Eze (Jamshedpur FC) – 4.5 CR
Eze has been superb this season and was excellent against Mohun Bagan SG, not only in defence but also scoring a brilliant solo goal to rescue a vital point for his side. The centre-back will continue to play a key role for Jamshedpur FC as they face bottom-placed Hyderabad FC away from home in the upcoming week.
Midfielders
Brison Fernandes (FC Goa) – 4.8 CR
Fernandes continued his stellar run for FC Goa, finding the back of the net once again against East Bengal FC. The midfielder has now scored six goals this season and looks set to maintain his form as they host Chennaiyin FC, a side that has conceded eight goals in their last three matches.
Noah Sadaoui (Kerala Blasters FC) – 11.4 CR
Sadaoui scored once and assisted in their famous home win against Odisha FC before playing out a goalless draw against NorthEast United FC. The Blasters will visit East Bengal FC in Matchweek 18, a struggling side, and the Moroccan will be eager to capitalize on the opportunity for another big performance.
Jon Toral (Mumbai City FC) – 8.1 CR
Toral made his first appearance off the bench since November last week, and the Spaniard could make his first XI return as the Islanders look to improve their campaign. With Yoell van Nieff suspended for the match against Mohammedan SC, the responsibility for creating chances will fall on Toral, who will be keen to finally make his mark at his new club.
Connor Shields (Chennaiyin FC) – 7.2 CR (Vice Captain)
Shields leads the assist charts with eight, three more than any other player, and has also created the most chances (58), 21 ahead of second-placed Adrian Luna. The Scottish midfielder is poised for another strong performance as Chennaiyin FC plays twice this week, offering the potential for a big points haul.
Forwards
Iker Guarrotxena (FC Goa) – 9.4 CR
Guarrotxena hit the woodwork twice against East Bengal FC while being deployed in a deeper role due to Carl McHugh’s absence. With McHugh's return and Armando Sadiku unavailable in Matchweek 18, the Spaniard will return to the No. 9 role as the Gaurs look to challenge Mohun Bagan SG for the League Shield. His side will rely on Guarrotxena to find the back of the net.
Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC) – 7.5 CR
Bengaluru FC was on the brink of another shocking defeat against bottom-placed Hyderabad FC until captain Chhetri stepped up to score the equalizing goal. The 40-year-old will be ready to make a strong impact once again as his side aim for a much-needed victory against Odisha FC.
Wilmar Jordan Gil (Chennaiyin FC) – 9.6 CR – Captain
The Colombian forward is primed for a standout performance in Matchweek 18, with his side playing twice. Although they face the top two teams in the league – Mohun Bagan SG and FC Goa – the forward will be determined to play a key role and return to scoring form. He has the potential to be the standout candidate for captaincy in Matchweek 18.
Substitutes
Padam Chettri (Mohammedan SC) – 4.5 CR
Chettri has been in terrific form lately, keeping three clean sheets in their last four matches. Despite conceding two against Chennaiyin FC in Matchweek 17, Chettri made some crucial saves to keep his side in the game before they staged a late comeback. He will be eager to maintain this momentum when they face the Islanders away from home this week.
Alberto Rodriguez (Mohun Bagan SG) – 5.5 CR
Rodriguez remains the league's most in-form player, averaging 8.5 points per game. His consistent contributions at both ends of the pitch make him a solid fantasy pick as his side travel to face Chennaiyin FC this week.
Mirjalol Kasimov (Mohammedan SC) – 5.4 CR
Kasimov has been a cornerstone of Mohammedan SC and has been pivotal in the team's recent success. Despite missing a penalty against Chennaiyin FC, he will remain in charge of set-piece duties as they head to Mumbai, aiming to deliver another strong performance and continue their late-season momentum.
Mehtab Singh (Mumbai City FC) – 5.5 CR
Singh has been a constant presence in the Islanders' back four this season and leads the charts for accumulating the most fantasy points from completed passes. He remains a key player to consider as they face Mohammedan SC this week.
