Matchweek 17 of Indian Super League (ISL) Fantasy is arguably going to be one of the most exciting and challenging Matchweeks this season.

Three teams - Kerala Blasters FC, NorthEast United FC and FC Goa play two fixtures - offering managers owning these players a chance to rack up additional points and capitalize on chips, with a total of eight matches being played this week.

Besides that, the top three scoring managers will also get a chance to win exclusive prizes with a signed jersey, mini ball, and club merchandise up for grabs, so squad planning for this Matchweek must be done strategically.

With that, we have curated the best ISL Fantasy squad featuring a triple-up of players that play twice along with other players who are in-form and have good fixtures.

Goalkeeper

Padam Chhetri (Mohammedan SC) - 4.5 CR

Chhetri has kept clean sheets in his last three matches, accumulating 20 points in this period. With another home game for Mohammedan SC, expect them to make Chennaiyin FC struggle to score, with their eyes set on doing the double and getting their first home win.

Defenders

Naocha Singh (Kerala Blasters FC) - 5.3 CR

Singh helped the Blasters record two clean sheets in their last three games and is their top-scoring defender this season and third-highest top scorer overall. The full-back also has two assists to his name and his attacking threat, coupled with his potential for clean sheets, makes him a shrewd pick as he plays two games.

Asheer Akhtar (NorthEast United FC) - 4.5 CR

The NorthEast United FC defender is the team’s second-highest top scorer this season after Alaaeddine Ajaraie. NorthEast United FC have kept clean sheets in two of their last three games and conceded just one goal in their last game against Punjab FC. With fixtures against Kerala Blasters FC and FC Goa, expect Akhtar to be in the thick of things if his team keeps a clean sheet.

Aakash Sangwan (FC Goa) - 5.0 CR

FC Goa play two games this Matchweek and having one of their defenders is a must. Sangwan is FC Goa’s top-scoring defender this season and has two assists. The Gaurs have struggled to keep clean sheets lately, but with two crucial matches ahead, expect their defense to tighten up as they try to close the gap with leaders Mohun Bagan SG.

Midfielders

Ryan Williams (Bengaluru FC) - 7.5 CR

Williams is Bengaluru FC’s most in-form attacker at the moment and was unlucky not to record any goal contribution against Mohammedan SC. He has been the go-to man for the Blues in recent times, scoring goals and creating chances. Up against a struggling Hyderabad FC side, he has the potential to haul.

Adrian Luna (Kerala Blasters FC) - 10.4 CR

Although coming at a hefty price tag, Luna finds a way into our squad as he plays two matches. In the game against Mohammedan SC, he recorded two assists, hitting his first double-digit haul of the season, and has 18 points in his last three games. The Kerala Blasters FC captain is yet to open his scoring for the season but has four assists to his name already.

Macarton Nickson (NorthEast United FC) - 4.5 CR

NorthEast United FC have two tough fixtures against Kerala Blasters FC and FC Goa, which might limit their chances to score heavily in these two fixtures. Which is why we have gone for Nickson as our third NorthEast United FC player. The young midfielder has been a key player at both ends of the pitch, contributing two goals and three assists in the process. He is in-form at the moment and has 26 points in the last four games.

Brison Fernandes (FC Goa) - 4.7 CR

Fernandes has five goals to his name this season and has been in form lately. After back-to-back braces, he was unlucky not to be involved against Hyderabad FC, despite providing key passes for his teammates and getting into promising positions in the box. Given his price tag and explosiveness, he can’t be ignored.

Noah Sadaoui (Kerala Blasters FC) - 11.3 CR (Vice-Captain)

Sadaoui is Blasters’ top-scoring player this season and is the most dangerous player for the Kochi-based side. He faces Odisha FC and FC Goa, two sides that have struggled to keep clean sheets lately. Given his goalscoring threat coupled with the fact that he’s on penalties, makes him a must-have.

Forwards

Armando Sadiku (FC Goa) - 8.6 CR

Sadiku brought an end to his five-match goalless run by getting on the scoresheet against Hyderabad FC. He could have hauled in that game, had his another attempt not come off the post. As FC Goa’s top point scorer and his attacking threat, the Albanian will be looking to add to his goalscoring tally as he plays two games.

Alaaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC) - 8.4 CR (Captain)

Ajaraie is the highest-owned player in the game and there’s a reason for that. He is the top-scoring forward in the game and the second-highest top scorer overall. The NorthEast United FC talisman has been in fine form lately, scoring in three of NorthEast United FC’s last four games, racking up a total of 25 points thanks to his three goals scored. Playing two games this week, he is our top choice for captaincy and has a good chance of hauling.

Substitutes

Albino Gomes (Jamshedpur FC) - 4.5 CR

Gomes has been instrumental in Jamshedpur FC’s success recently, putting up valiant performances between the sticks. He has racked up the most saves in the league this season. He’s been key to the Red Miners' unbeaten run at home and is among the top four keepers with the highest points and the cheapest among the lot. He has two clean sheets in his last three games and is a solid option.

Jordan Murray (Jamshedpur FC) - 6.6 CR

Murray comes at a budget price and is one of the in-form players at the moment with goals in his last two games. Murray has a strong record at home and will be looking to replicate that against the best defense in the league and keep Jamshedpur FC’s unbeaten streak intact at home.

Naorem Roshan Singh (Bengaluru FC) - 4.8 CR

Singh is Bengaluru FC’s second-highest scoring player this season. The full-back faces a Hyderabad FC side that can’t stop conceding goals. His attacking and defensive qualities make him a solid pick although Bengaluru FC have struggled for clean sheets.

Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) - 5.0 CR

The top scoring player and defender this season, Bose has helped the Mariners keep clean sheets in back-to-back games and their record of most clean sheets this season. He has three goals already this season. He has a tough fixture on paper, away to Jamshedpur FC, but high ownership and ability to score points from both ends of the pitch and modest price tag makes him a must-have.
