Iker Guarrotxena netted twice in the first half, while Borja Herrera sealed the 3-1 victory with a second-half strike. This win also marked Manolo Márquez’s first ISL victory over Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky, having been winless in their previous five meetings.

Alaaeddine Ajaraie — the Moroccan record-breaker

Alaaeddine Ajaraie starred for NorthEast United FC, scoring a brace as the Highlanders stunned Jamshedpur FC at the Furnace to complete their first-ever league double over the Men of Steel.

Mohun Bagan SG inch closer to defending the Shield

Mohun Bagan SG continued their dominance over Kerala Blasters FC with a commanding 3-0 victory in Kochi. Jamie Maclaren bagged a sublime brace, while Alberto Rodríguez netted his fifth goal of the season to cap off a dominant performance.

With this result, the Mariners are now just one win away from becoming the first team in ISL history to defend the League Shield. They could also clinch the title earlier if FC Goa lose to Kerala Blasters on Saturday.

East Bengal FC claim first Kolkata derby win in ISL

East Bengal FC registered a historic 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Mohammedan SC, securing their first-ever Kolkata derby win in the ISL.

Naorem Mahesh Singh, Saul Crespo, and David Lalhlansanga were on target for the Red and Gold Brigade, who were clinical in front of goal and there were plenty of positives for Oscar Bruzon’s side.

Substitute appearances from Saul Crespo and David Lalhlansanga proved decisive, while Naorem Mahesh impressed in an advanced central midfield role. Forwards Messi Bouli and Dimitrios Diamantakos also played key roles, contributing to two of the goals.

Notably, this was the fourth time East Bengal FC have scored three or more goals in an away game this season.
