Forwards hold the most coveted spot in the lineup and are responsible for scoring, creating opportunities, and leading the line. The spearheads of the offense are multifaceted and crucial for a team's attacking success.
The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season was also graced with prolific goal scorers and their eye-soothing goal-scoring spectacle. From Alaaeddine Ajaraie to Sunil Chhetri and Jamie Maclaren to Jesus Jimenez, the forwards have not only lived up to the expectations of their respective teams but also presented us with a flurry of goals, showcasing their sheer prowess in finding the back of the net.
As Phases 1 and 2 of the Fans’ Team of the Season voting have drawn to an end, it’s now time to organize your striking line with three designated forward spots, which will resume on Sunday, May 11. The fans have the opportunity of locking in their picks for the crucial three-forwards spot, who will feature in the ultimate team with a 4-3-3 formation. Notably, the Phase 3 voting will continue until May 13.

Strikers
Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC)
Sunil Chhetri scored 14 goals in the 2024-25 season, the joint-most by an Indian in a single league season. Moreover, Chhetri scored six goals as a substitute this season, the outright highest such tally by any player in a single season.
Jamie Maclaren (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Jamie Maclaren has scored seven match-winning goals in the 2024-25 season. Interestingly, Mohun Bagan Super Giant are unbeaten in the 10 games in which Maclaren has scored during the season (W9 D1), the highest number of games a player has scored in without his side losing this season.
Jesus Jimenez (Kerala Blasters FC)
Jesus Jimenez scored 11 goals this season, the second-highest such tally by any Kerala Blasters FC player in their debut season for the club. Jimenez recorded a shot conversion rate of 25.6% (11 goals from 43 shots), the second highest such rate among players with a minimum of 10 shots this term.
Jason Cummings (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Jason Cummings made five goal contributions (3 goals and 2 assists) off the bench in the 2024-25 season, the second-highest such tally by any player this term. The Australian forward is the first player to score in five consecutive playoff matches, playing a crucial role in the Mariners’ ISL double.
Right-Wingers
Ryan Williams (Bengaluru FC)
Ryan Williams enjoyed a dynamic season with Bengaluru FC, firing up the flanks with his burst of pace and dazzling skills. Williams racked up seven goals and four assists, created 35 chances, attempted 27 successful dribbles, and also won 105 duels.
Jithin MS (NorthEast United FC)
Jithin MS was a key part of Juan Pedro Benali’s system and demonstrated his all-around abilities throughout the season. Jithin created 41 chances, provided 36 key passes, and also logged 28 successful dribbles.
Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Manvir Singh played a pivotal role in MBSG’s league double this season as the forward experienced another fantastic campaign with the Mariners. He made nine goal contributions and averaged 23 passes per match while also winning 129 duels and completing 96 recoveries.
PV Vishnu (East Bengal FC)
PV Vishnu was been a livewire for East Bengal FC on the flanks throughout the season with his adroit footwork and sharp match instincts. Vishnu registered seven goal contributions, completed 38 successful dribbles, created 15 chances, and also won 115 duels.
Left-Wingers
Alaaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC)
With 23 goals and seven assists this season, Alaaeddine Ajaraie became the first player to score 20+ goals and make 30+ goal contributions in a single season in league history. He attempted the highest number of 138 shots and also logged the highest number of 47 shots on target.
Noah Sadaoui (Kerala Blasters FC)
Noah Sadaoui made 121 touches in the opposition box in the 2024-25 season, the second most by any player behind Ajaraie. Sadaoui also logged 200 progressive carries this season, becoming the first player to do so in multiple seasons in the league.
Irfan Yadwad (Chennaiyin FC)
Irfan Yadwad was the third-highest goal scorer for Chennaiyin FC this season, registering five goals to his name. Besides that, Yadwad also provided four assists, created 20 chances, and won 189 duels.
Iker Guarrotxena (FC Goa)
Playing both as a forward and number 10, Iker Guarrotxena played a key role in FC Goa’s offensive unit, recording seven goals and three assists. He created 14 chances, averaged 23 passes per game, and maintained 77% passing accuracy.
