I have gone with a 3-5-2 formation with an all-Indian backline with foreign players in central midfield and attacking areas.

Here is how my Team of Matchweek 3 goes:

Goalkeeper: Dheeraj Singh (FC Goa)

I thought Dheeraj Singh was outstanding against Chennaiyin FC and if it wasn't for him, they would have probably been three or four goals down in the first half itself. It was one of the best performances by a goalkeeper that I can remember in the Hero ISL.

Defenders

Mehtab Singh (Mumbai City FC): Right centre-back

Another player-of-the-match performance by Mehtab Singh. He was up against some tough strikers in Harry Sawyer and Daniel Chima Chukwu and you had Jay Emanuel Thomas who came on in the second half. He has kept Morutada Fall out of the starting XI which says a lot about his performances. he was outstanding with his tackles, and put in a lot of last-ditch challenges as well. His interceptions were on point and he looked very solid.

Chinglensana Singh (Hyderabad FC): Centre-back

Chinglensana Singh was brilliant as well alongside Odei Onainida. He has been very consistent for a very long time and in the game against Bengaluru FC, he was composed on the ball and made tackles when required. His reading of the game was on point

Lalchungnunga (East Bengal FC): Left centre-back

Lalchungnunga is improving with each game. I think he is an important member of this East Bengal FC side under Stephen Constantine. He kept the NorthEast United FC attack at bay throughout the game. He seems like he has been playing in the Hero ISL for a long time. He doesn't seem like a newcomer and it was a good performance from him

Midfielders

Jerry Mawihminghthanga (Odisha FC): Right wing

Apart from scoring the goal for Odisha FC, his work off the ball was brilliant. He kept running up and down that flank and had a good game.

Charis Kyriakou (East Bengal FC): Central midfield

He has been played in different positions in defence by Constantine but played central midfield in a big game for East Bengal FC who had lost the first two but he scored an important goal and he was all over the pitch and an absolute engine on the day

Wellington Priori (Jamshedpur FC): Central midfield

He came up against a very tough midfield in Mumbai City FC and kept Alberto Noguera, Greg Stewart and even Ahmed Jahouh. He put in a lot of challenges, nicked the ball off them in midfield and put in a really good performance.

Redeem Tlang (FC Goa): Left wing

Redeem scored his first goal for the season and always looked like a threat going up front. He had a good game for FC Goa.

Yasir Mohammed (Hyderabad FC): Central attacking midfielder

I've got Yasit Mohammed playing in the hole. Another player who is looking so good this season. He whipped in some good balls from his left foot and could have gotten some assists had the finishing been better. He had a great influence on the game against Bengaluru FC.

Forwards

Noah Sadaoui (FC Goa): Centre forward

It was a big decision from Carlos Pena to drop Alvaro Vazquez and play Sadaoui but he justified his inclusion, scored a goal and was full of running throughout the game. Kept running behind the channels and was a constant threat to Chennaiyin FC

Daniel Chima Chukwu (Jamshedpur FC): Centre forward

He had a brilliant game and scored a goal for Jamshedpur FC. The work rate he put in as a striker was phenomenal. He put a lot of pressure on the defence. He was such a good target man for Jamshedpur FC. When they couldn't play out from the back they would just lump it forward to him. His hold-up play was just brilliant

Head coach: Stephen Constantine

I have gone with Stephen Constantine because he was under pressure after two losses in a row. It was an important result. They needed this before the Kolkata derby. He is finally finding his best XI and also playing Kyriakou in midfield really worked out for him.
