Sergio Lobera’s Mumbai City FC continued their dominance in the 2020-21 Hero Indian Super League’s Team of the Week for Gameweek 4 with as many as four Islanders players making the cut. In what was a first for this season, all five matches in Gameweek 4 ended in outright results, with Bengaluru FC, FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC registering their first victories in Hero ISL 2020-21. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu

The India international showed his class when he kept a second consecutive clean sheet against southern rivals Chennaiyin FC. The Bengaluru FC shot-stopper saved all five shots that he faced against the Marina Machans, and also managed two punches and two catches.

Benjamin Lambot

Hero of the Match for Northeast United FC against SC East Bengal, Dutch defender Benjamin Lambot made nine clearances for his side. All three of his tackles were successful; he had one successful interception and two blocks as well.

Mourtada Fall

The Mumbai City FC defender makes it to the team of the week for the second time running. Mourtada Fall helped his side to a third clean sheet of the season against Odisha FC. He had a strong passing accuracy of 88% besides making four clearances, four successful interceptions and one successful tackle as well.

Mohamad Rakip

The young fullback was a constant threat on the wings and earned a place in the team of the week for the second time running. Rakip had a passing accuracy of 78% besides 77 touches of the ball. Defensively, Rakip had one successful tackle, one successful interception and one block as well.

Rowllin Borges

Rowllin Borges ran the show from the middle of the park for the Islanders during their 2-0 win over Odisha FC. Borges doubled the lead for his side and had a passing accuracy of 84% besides making two successful tackles as well.

Ahmed Jahouh

Ahmed Jahouh was at his best during the Islanders’ win over Odisha FC. He created two chances with a passing accuracy of 86%. Jahouh made six successful tackles and two clearances, and had 117 touches of the ball as well.

Harmanjot Khabra

The Bengaluru FC midfielder was a rock at the back for his side. Against Chennaiyin FC, Harmanjot Khabra made three clearances and one block besides three successful interceptions and one successful tackle as well.

Aitor Monroy

The Spanish midfielder was one of the best players for Jamshedpur FC on Monday night as they went on to register their first win of the season against ATK Mohun Bagan. Both goals came off the corners delivered by Aitor Monroy. Defensively, Monroy made seven clearances and two successful tackles as well.

Ninthoinganba Meetei

19-year-old Ninthoinganba Meetei was one of the best players for NorthEast United FCC during their 2-0 win over Kolkata giants SC East Bengal. Meetei created two chances and was ever-present in defence as well, with five successful tackles, four successful interceptions and six blocks for his side.

Igor Angulo

The Spanish striker scored a brace in FC Goa’s 3-1 win over Kerala Blasters FC. Igor Angulo scored with both his shots on target besides effecting one successful tackle, one clearance and one block defensively.

Nerijus Valskis

Nerijus Valskis added two more goals to his name during his side’s 2-1 victory over ATK Mohun Bagan. Valskis, who scored either side of the break, got four shots on target. It needed an exceptional performance to beat ATK Mohun Bagan and Valskis provided just that.
