Hero Indian Super League 2020-21’s Gameweek 15 saw another very competitive round of matches with four matches ending in draws out of five. In the only outright win of the gameweek, NorthEast United FC secured a 2-1 win against second-placed ATK Mohun Bagan. Meanwhile, leaders Mumbai City FC dropped points in a 1-1 draw against Chennaiyin FC, and Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC were held to 0-0 and 2-2 draws by Jamshedpur FC and Hyderabad FC respectively before in the last match of the gameweek FC Goa and SC East Bengal shared the points in the wake of a 1-1 draw. Quite a few individual performances came to the fore in the above-mentioned contests, and here let’s see who all made it to the team of the week for Gameweek 15.

Albino Gomes

Albino Gomes kept his side in their game against Jamshedpur FC, making three saves to earn his side an important clean sheet. He also made one clearance, one punch and caught the ball seven times for Kerala Blasters in a goalless draw.  

Laldinliana Renthlei

Laldinliana Renthlei helped Jamshedpur FC to a clean sheet on his return from injury in their goalless draw against Kerala Blasters. Renthlei made four clearances, three successful interceptions and two successful tackles for his team. For the first time this season, he made it to the team of the week.

Daniel Fox

The SC East Bengal defender scored his first goal of the season against FC Goa in a 1-1 draw. Besides boasting an 83% passing accuracy, Fox also came up with two successful interceptions as well as one clearance. He makes it to the team of the week for the first time this season.

Costa Nhamoinesu

Kerala Blasters defender Costa Nhamoinesu was a rock in his team’s defence, keeping the Jamshedpur attackers at bay all through the match. In addition to boasting a passing accuracy of 80%, Costa made five clearances, two blocks and two successful interceptions for his team.

Amey Ranawade

Young Mumbai City fullback Amey Ranawade was a constant threat against Chennaiyin in their 1-1 draw. He created one goal-scoring chance and defensively, made three successful tackles, three blocks and two successful interceptions for his team.

Carl McHugh

ATK Mohun Bagan’s Carl McHugh created three chances and assisted Roy Krishna’s consolation goal in their 2-1 loss to the Highlanders. Defensively, the midfielder made one successful tackle, one successful interception and one block for his team. He makes it to the team of the week for the first time this season.

Federico Gallego

Federico Gallego was the best player in NorthEast United’s 2-1 win over ATK Mohun Bagan. He created three chances for his team, and was involved in both goals. After assisting Luis Machado for the opener, Gallego scored a beautiful goal from outside the box to seal the win.

Alberto Noguera

The FC Goa midfielder provided the assist for Igor Angulo’s goal in their 1-1 draw against SC East Bengal. He also created three chances for the Gaurs. Defensively, he came up with four successful tackles, two successful interceptions as well as two blocks. It is his fourth appearance in the team of the week this season.  

Bright Enobakhare

The SC East Bengal forward created two chances in the game against FC Goa. He also had three shots in the match. He was a threat to the Gaurs all through the contest and it was a shame that he couldn’t find the back of the net in what indeed was a Hero-of-the-Match performance.

Aridane Santana

Hyderabad striker Aridane Santana reduced the deficit in Hyderabad’s 2-2 draw against the Blues. He scored his team’s first goal of the night and also helped out his defence with two successful interceptions and one clearance.

Luis Machado

Highlanders midfielder Luis Machado scored the opening goal and also created three goal-scoring opportunities for his team in the 2-1 win against ATK Mohun Bagan. Defensively, he made two successful interceptions, one clearance and one block for his team.
