Having signed the 2019-20 Golden Ball winner, Hugo Boumous, Finland’s midfielder in Euro 2020, Joni Kauko, the pacy Liston Colaco and the resolute Deepak Tangri makes ATK Mohun Bagan possible favourites to lift the title Hero Indian Super League (ISL).

“If ATK Mohun Bagan isn’t top of the table come Christmas time, I will dye my hair blonde.” declared Paul Masefield who believes that ATKMB are far ahead of all the other clubs in the Hero ISL.

With that being said, ATKMB will be without their rock solid center-back Sandesh Jhingan. Likewise, every team in the league has undergone some major changes which would make the league more competitive and exciting.

Speaking about competition in the league, expert Darren Caldeira stated, “Some of the teams that didn’t fare too well last time around have really strengthened their side and got in some quality foriegn players. And they look like a good side.”

Meanwhile, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna awardee Sunil Chhetri made a guest appearance on the show and was asked about the comment he made last season about opponents not fearing Bengaluru FC anymore. Host Maurya Mondal inquisitive of what targets BFC have set for themselves asked if the club has got their old swagger back.

The captain replied, “Not yet, it will only happen when we start playing well again. The only change is that we have a new manager and everybody has worked very hard to be fit first. That kind of fear is not easy to get back.”

“We are always proud to be a team that is difficult to play against. Last year it wasn’t the case. And we want to at least get back to that,” he added.

Missing out on the atmosphere the fans create inside the stadium, Chhetri expressed, “BFC are unbelievable. One of the main things that we miss are the fans. I mean playing in Kanteerava just gives you wings,” Chhetri signed off.
