Durand Cup 2024, Group F Preview: FC Goa, Hyderabad FC in fight for quarter-final spot
Shillong Lajong FC will host Tribhuvan Army FC in the opening fixture of Group F on Friday before Hyderabad FC and FC Goa face off on Monday.
Group F teams will enter the ongoing Durand Cup 2024 on August 2 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.
Indian Super League (ISL) clubs, including FC Goa and Hyderabad FC, will be featured in this group. Joining them are the I-League club Shillong Lajong FC and the Armed Forces team from Nepal, Tribhuvan Army FC.
FC Goa have announced their reserve squad for the Durand Cup 2024, with their senior players in pre-season camp ahead of the new ISL season. This tournament will provide valuable game time for the Gaurs’ junior footballers, giving them a chance to gain competitive match experience.
Hyderabad FC will field a young Indian squad, aiming to surprise their opponents with their talented young players.

Under the guidance of Israil Gurung, FC Goa's reserve side will take the field in the 133rd edition of the Durand Cup. The Gaurs will be aiming for promising performances in the forthcoming tournament to qualify for the knockout stages. Hyderabad FC – Can the youngsters pull another remarkable show?
Hyderabad FC could also feature their developmental players, as they did in the latter part of the ISL 2023–24 season. The young guns produced some spirited performances in the league last season, with the most remarkable being their victory over Chennaiyin FC with an all-Indian squad. The young footballers will be determined to showcase their potential and prove their worth once again in this historic tournament.
