An instant hit with the passionate supporters of Kerala Blasters FC, Antonio German endeared himself to the local crowd unlike any other player in the yellow of Kerala last season. Still relatively young at the age of 24, German acclimatised to Indian conditions and adapted to the rigorous demands of the league seamlessly. He got his campaign off to a pulsating start by coming off the bench to score twice, albeit in a losing cause.

German never looked back following his Hero ISL bow and went on to torment opposition defences on a regular basis since. His season tally of six goals and three assists in just nine appearances further accentuates the impact made by the lightning-quick Englishman. With experience of an entire Hero ISL season now under his belt, Blasters fans will be hoping that his intimidating and physical presence coupled with his blistering pace at the tip of their attack will drive fear into the hearts of opponent defenders again this year.
