Visitors NorthEast United FC held hosts FC Goa to a 2-2 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Sunday in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18. The Highlanders came from behind in each half thanks to strikes from Marcinho and John Mosquera, that cancelled out Mandar Rao Dessai and Ferran Corominas’ goals for the Gaurs. Coming in as a substitute in the second half, Mosquera scored the all-important equaliser that fetched his team a point. After the final whistle, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the Colombian for his views on the match and his first Hero ISL goal. Here are the excerpts.

Thoughts on the game?

Yes, I am very happy as it was my first goal in India and for NorthEast. Now we prepare for the next game.

What did the coach tell you at the halftime break?

I think we feel good and one point is okay for us. The coach told me to go inside and do your best and that is how I got my first goal.

How do you feel after scoring your first Hero ISL goal?

Yes, I am happy, but this was my first goal in India and now I will try to get more.

Your views on the entire match?

We were good, and we have a very good player in Marcinho who made it 1-1. Then we took a goal from Goa and then I made it 2-2. Now we’ll prepare for the next game.
