FC Pune City will look to climb to the sixth position in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) standings with a win over Delhi Dynamos FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Sunday. The Stallions have enjoyed a purple patch of sorts under new head coach Phil Brown and will be hoping to end their campaign on a positive note.

At the pre-match conference, Brown began by addressing the challenge ahead. "I have been here only four games and we have already broken a few records. But in the end, it is only about 90 minutes of football. We know Delhi have had a troubled season. But it is an important fixture for us. Our focus so far has been to win all six games since I took over. I look forward to going into these games, but we do our homework before matches. All teams have strengths and weaknesses and we have to try and find them out," he said.

In their last match against NorthEast United FC, defender Matt Mills, who was out with an injury for a long time, made his return and even came off the bench for a few minutes. Asked whether he would tweak his settled backline to fit Mills into the squad, Brown said, "It is an interesting question because we have talked a lot on what’s gone right and one of the big things is the system. I think it is the strength of the foreign player in the middle of the two centre-halves. Sarthak Golui and Sahil Panwar have done really well. Then you have Martin Diaz. However, we have had a look at the back four. There are things you can do from a coach’s perspective."

The Englishman also provided an update on the absentees ahead of the tie. "Marko Stankovic came off the other day against NorthEast and he tweaked his hamstring. Marko is a doubt for the game. Diego Carlos suffered a heavy blow at the end of the game against Northeast. Looks like he has got a grade two tear in his ankle ligaments. So, it looks like his season is over, which is very disappointing from our perspective. He has been one of the bright prospects for us recently. He has been absolutely first class. We also have a suspension of Adil Khan. But Marcelo Pereira is back," he revealed.
