Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 runners-up FC Goa have announced the signing of promising 23-year-old defender Aiban Dohling from Shillong Lajong.

The youngster started his youth career at Lajong, later switching to the Tata Football Academy (TFA) in 2011. After spending four years honing his skills at TFA, Dohling returned to Shillong in 2016, making his Hero I-League debut for the senior team soon after. He has, in total, made 17 appearances for the club and scored a solitary goal.

The 23-year-old is quite versatile as a defender, capable of playing at either centre back or right back. Dohling also has a lethal long throw in his armoury, which can make him an interesting offensive option for the team.

At FC Goa, Dohling will be playing alongside some established international defenders like Mourtada Fall and Carlos Pena, allowing him to progress even further.
