Its that time of the year again. Christmas was just upon us and with the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) on break, the stars are currently scattered all across the globe enjoying the holiday season with friends and family. The festival of hope and happiness, however, brought everyone together on social media as the players took out the time to post their very own celebrations and wished their fans and colleagues on the occasion.

Here's a look at how the Hero ISL stars celebrated the Yuletide.

The Indian national team is currently in UAE preparing for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019. The talismanic Sunil Chhetri spent his Christmas with friends and colleagues of the national team and seemed in good spirit. Chhetri is currently the top scorer for Bengaluru FC, as the Blues find themselves perched comfortably at the top of the table.

Kerala Blasters FC's Sandesh Jhingan and Mumbai City FC's Amrinder Singh, who are with the national team too, shared the same picture to send across their wishes.

Chhetri's Bengaluru teammate Erik Paartalu is back home in Australia for the holidays and for the ace midfielder, Christmas was all about family and some quirky headgear.

Paartalu's countryman Tim Cahill, who is plying his trade at Jamshedpur FC this season, spent his Christmas with his children and loved ones. The Cahills seem to be on a vacation in the Maldives.

For Cahill's Jamshedpur co-star Memo, nothing embodied the festive season better than his team colours and family.

Chennaiyin FC youngster Anirudh Thapa, who is also currently in Abu Dhabi with the Blue Tigers, sent his wishes across with a simple candid picture.

For Kerala's local boy CK Vineeth, the special day was all about the heart-warming father-son bond.
