Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2020-21’s Gameweek 14 witnessed edge-of-the-seat action in all five games, with strong defences making their presence felt all through. ATK Mohun Bagan had to wait for 90 minutes to break down a stubborn Chennaiyin FC side and following that, league leaders Mumbai City FC kept a resilient SC East Bengal side at bay after scoring early in the match. Kerala Blasters FC, meanwhile, were unable to take advantage of an extra player in their 1-1 draw against FC Goa. Jamshedpur then ended their three-match losing streak with a goalless draw against Hyderabad FC. In the last encounter of the gameweek, Bengaluru FC rescued a late point against Odisha FC. Here, we look at some of the highlights of the gameweek gone by.
ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City register important wins

Second-placed ATK Mohun Bagan kicked off the gameweek with an important 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC to secure the three points. The victory was clinched courtesy of a second-half injury time goal from David Williams, who came on as a substitute for the Mariners.

The Islanders, meanwhile, successfully kept the persistent SC East Bengal at bay in their encounter after a goal from Mourtada Fall in the 27th minute put Sergio Lobera’s men ahead. With this win, the Islanders maintained their five-point lead over second-placed ATK Mohun Bagan on the league table. With an 11-game unbeaten run, Mumbai City are now just one shy of FC Goa’s Hero ISL record of 12-game unbeaten streak.
Narayan Das becomes Hero ISL’s second centurion
The match between SC East Bengal and Mumbai City FC saw Narayan Das take the field for the 100th time in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL). He is the second player ever in the history of the league after Mandar Rao Dessai to achieve the feat. Although the veteran defender was on the losing side on the night, he was one of the best players on the field for his team. Narayan has played in every season of the Hero ISL and has turned out for the likes of FC Goa, FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos FC, and Odisha FC. The fullback has made 10 appearances so far for SC East Bengal this season.
Rahul KP continues his great form
Kerala Blasters FC were looking at their sixth loss this season after going behind in the first half courtesy of a goal by Jorge Ortiz before young gun Rahul KP scored the all-important equaliser in the second half to earn his side a point. He rose above his markers to head the ball into the net from a Facundo Pereyra corner. Rahul scored the winning goal for his team in the previous gameweek too.
Lastly, Odisha FC were on course for a win after scoring early into the game through Diego Mauricio but Erik Paartalu broke their heart eight minutes from time to salvage a point for the Blues.
