One of the major talking points of the match was Bengaluru custodian Gurpreet Singh Sandhu’s sending off, after contact from the Indian shot-stopper sent Manuel Lanzarote to the floor. Sandhu was shown a straight red and banned for two games as a consequence. Twitter flooded with supporters voicing their opinion on the incident. Here are what some passionate fans had to say.

Others believed Lanzarote got away easily.

Bengaluru, however, have coped well in one of the two matches Sandhu is banned for (a 1-0 victory away to NorthEast United FC). They will also have to do without him when the Blues visit FC Pune City for the first game of match week 5 on Thursday.
