FC Goa lost their second successive 2016 Hero Indian Super League game at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Saturday evening. Arata Izumi opened the scoring in the 25th minute for FC Pune City before Rafael Coelho drew level for the Gaurs eight minutes later. A dramatic late winner by Momar Ndoye ensured Pune left Fatorda with all three points, while also sending the home side to the bottom of the league table owing to an inferior goal-difference to that of Kerala Blasters FC.Speaking at the post-match press conference, Zico admitted his side must improve their finishing if there is to be a change in their fortunes. “The team played quite well but we do need to make some changes. We currently don’t have the team that we have in mind but we will work towards it. Since we do not have the team 100%, it is important we don’t lose opportunities. If we look at a team like NorthEast United who scored once in three chances in the first match and scored twice from four chances in the second…We created many chances but we were able to convert just once,” he said.FC Goa were the highest scoring side in Hero ISL 2015 netting 34 times in 17 matches last season. When asked why their finishing touch in front of goal has eluded them this season, Zico said: “In a typical game, we cannot afford to waste so many chances like we did today. When we create so many chances and do not score, the other teams comes and score in our goal. Pune created opportunities and scored.”He added: “Players feel that they need to shoot with all your strength but it is important to remember that to score a goal the ball just has to cross the line, the players need to be more calm and focused while going for the goal. We need to be more focused.”
