Taylor: Not good to have three losses on the trot

Kerala Blasters FC head coach Peter Taylor expressed his disappointment following a 2-1 loss at the hands of FC Goa in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League on Thursday evening. The loss at Fatorda’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was Kerala’s third in a row and the Englishman was grim.
“It’s disappointing, to be honest. But when things like that happen, you have to stay very strong. But nobody’s going give your next result, you’re going have to work very hard as a team. So we have to look at the plusses of tonight as well as at the negatives which were the goals conceded. So I’m disappointed by our recent run since it’s not good to have three losses on the trot. But now, we got to look to try to win the next game,” Taylor said after the game.
However, Taylor was of the opinion that his team should have scored more than what they did. “The game against Delhi, I really didn’t think we deserved to score, but today we deserved to score. And I thought we created more chances – some from open play, some from set pieces. I think we did deserve to score more than one goal. But unfortunately, we still conceded two goals which were poor goals for us. The winning goal was a free header which is disappointing on our parts. We have to look at that,” he said.
With four points from five matches, Kerala lie sixth in the table and will have be ready for another away game, against FC Pune City who have won three out their four matches. When queried on the tough scheduling, Taylor said: “I think over the season it always evens itself out. As a coach, I don’t look at things like that and say that’s unlucky, I just get on with it. I knew that we had to play 14 matches, so whatever order they come in, we knew we got to be prepared for them.”
