The other Goan team in the league, Salgaocar could only manage one point from their two matches this week after losing 1-0 to Shillong Lajong FC on Thursday and drawing 1-1 with Aizawl FC on Sunday in a dramatic game that saw them denied all three points courtesy of an injury time penalty that cancelled out Darryl Duffy's first-half opener.The action is heating up in the Hero I-league as Bengaluru sit at the summit of the table on 12 points from five matches with Mohun Bagan hot on their heels with 10 points having played a game fewer. Mumbai FC and East Bengal are also in the title race with eight points each while Shillong Lajong FC enjoyed a good week with back-to-back wins to propel themselves to fifth in the table with seven points. Salgaocar and DSK Shivajians, meanwhile, are the only two teams yet to register a win this season.
