Marco Materazzi is happy with his team’s performance in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), and is positive about their game against the Delhi Dynamos FC here in Delhi today. The team has displayed good form so far by winning both their matches against FC Goa and Kerala Blasters FC, both by a 2-1 scoreline. In the pre-match press conference, Materazzi mentioned, “The games we’ve won until now have been played with a lot of heart. The club has done very well to hold its players together, the players have gotten to know each other very well and they’ve played well with each other since day one.”The Italian footballer is delighted with his forward line, stating, “I am very happy with the strikers I have. I think Balwant, who plays for the Indian national team will be a huge success in the future and has a very bright career. When you have players like these in your team who can come on for the last five minutes and still have the desire to score, then that’s all I need.” On a similar note, he also remarked, “when you have champions in your team, the Indian players will be eager to learn from them and can improve their game immensely.”Bernard Mendy's stunning overhead scissor-kick in the previous match against Kerala Blasters FC has generated quite a buzz. On the strike, Mendy remarked, “I have scored many goals in my career, but none like this. I was really happy. And the team won, which is most important.”
