Jeje, Vineeth, Duffy, Rane keep the Hero ISL flag flying

The Mariners maintained their unbeaten start to the season courtesy of a Jeje opener and a brace from Cornell Glen. Salgaocar FC did pull one back to make it 3-1 through Hero I-League’s top-scorer Darryl Duffy, who plays for FC Goa in the ISL.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru FC got back to winning ways at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday against Aizawl FC after a CK Vineeth (Kerala Blasters FC) strike three minutes into the second half proved to be enough for the Blues to claim maximum points. Elsewhere, Mumbai FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Sporting Clube de Goa at the Cooperage Ground. Jayesh Rane (Chennaiyin FC) put Mumbai FC into a 2-1 lead early in the second half but saw his strike cancelled out by an equaliser through substitute Victorino Fernandes (FC Goa) near the hour mark.
Shillong Lajong FC also shared the spoils in their match against DSK Shivajians at the Nehru Stadium on Friday after Boithang Haokip (NorthEast United FC) cancelled out Aser Pierric Dipanda Dica’s goal for DSK.
Mohun Bagan now sit three points clear of Bengaluru FC at the top of the table having taken 21 points from their first nine matches, whereas Salgaocar FC languish at the bottom with five points from nine games. DSK Shivajians moved up to eighth position with six points from nine games this week, while Mumbai FC and Aizawl FC occupy sixth and seventh spots respectively with 10 and 8 points from their first 9 games of the season.
