Having registered an impressive 4-1 victory at home over an in-form FC Goa side in their last match, Jamshedpur FC will look to build on the victory when they travel to take on a struggling Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. The Miners will be looking to bag all three points from the match against the Lions, who are yet to get a taste of victory in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19.

A day prior to the match, Jamshedpur head coach Cesar Ferrando took up his media duties and answered questions from the media during the pre-match press conference. In context to the upcoming match, Ferrando opined that Delhi will be a dangerous opponent given their desperation to register their first victory of the season. “Delhi are a very dangerous team at this moment. They want to win for the first time and I think they have good players and a good coach. If we want to win, we need a strong performance,” he said.

The Spaniard has been tinkering with his side consistently in the first six matches and seems to have found the right combination in their last match against FC Goa, which his side won 4-1. When asked if any further changes are expected in his starting XI, Ferrando said, "We make changes sometimes because I need all my players to be working. I like all my players to be motivated and when I cap one player for a game, he is ready to play. You make a lot of changes to keep the level of the team. We play four matches in a row and if players can’t cope with the physical aspect, it’s very difficult then to play the same players for every match. But when we make changes, it’s like a coin toss. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad."

He also expressed his delight with Jamshedpur's young Indian attackers, particularly Michael Soosairaj and Sumeet Passi, but also stated that they have a lot of room to grow. "I think they are motivated because they are playing very good. We are very happy with them for the effort they give in every game. But they have to understand football. In football, you have to play. During the 90 minutes, you are going to have to defend, to attack, then press with the ball. We hope to develop their football, but I’m very happy," he told reporters.

When asked about his team's evolution so far this season, Ferrando said, "I look back sometimes and for the first day of the preseason. The team has since improved a lot. We need to keep putting in this work and try and keep the same level."
