Indian Super League (ISL) clubs Punjab FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant will aim to finish the group stage on a positive note, as they will be in action in the Durand Cup on Saturday.

Punjab FC will lock horns against Bodoland FC in their final Group D clash at Kokrajhar’s Sports Authority of India Stadium, while Mohun Bagan Super Giant go head-to-head against Diamond Harbour FC in the Group B decider at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

The Shers kick-started their Durand Cup 2025 campaign with a hard-fought victory against Karbi Anglong Morning Star. However, Panagiotis Dilmperis’ men couldn’t maintain their winning momentum as they were held to a cagey goalless draw against the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Football Team (ITBP FT) in their second match.

The opposing side, Bodoland FC, won their opening game against Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC. They will be eager to overcome Punjab FC to boost their quarter-final hopes.

With four points from two games, Punjab FC are tied with ITBP FT in terms of points and goal difference. The Shers will aim for nothing but a victory to remain in hunt for a knockout berth in their final group stage outing.

On the other hand, Mohun Bagan Super Giant have been dominant in their first two games. The Kolkata giants edged out rivals Mohammedan SC in the high-voltage Kolkata derby in the opener and carried forward the momentum with a thumping victory against the Border Security Force FT.

Diamond Harbour FC are also in impressive form, securing back-to-back victories in consecutive matches, including a commanding 8-1 victory against BSF FT. With an experienced head coach, Kibu Vicuna, at the helm, Diamond Harbour FC will look to make it to the next round for the very first time.

With a potential Group B decider on the cards, this forthcoming battle promises to be a cracker, where the Mariners face a stern challenge against West Bengal rivals Diamond Harbour FC in a must-win fixture.
