FC Pune City manager Franco Colomba has put the nightmare of the 5-0 defeat away to Mumbai City FC behind him and is looking forward to a new beginning when his club take on FC Goa at home in their third Hero Indian Super League outing on Sunday.

“It is our first home game. We want to give a good performance. We have a week’s training behind us and we are ready,” the Italian gaffer said. Asked if he was coming into the match with a new strategy, Colomba replied, “More than strategy I expect an improvement from the team as compared to the last game.”

The 59-year-old manager expressed disappointment about the fact that FC Goa marquee player Robert Pirès would miss the match due to suspension. “It is a pity that a player of his calibre is not going to play. He was one of David's (Trezeguet) teammates and the ISL will miss him,” he opined.

Colomba however was pleased that Zico would be around and looked forward to matching his wits against the Brazilian legend. “He’s one of the greatest players of all times and even a wonderful person. I’ve had the pleasure to play against him during my career,” the former Bologna player revealed.

Pune City have only one point from two outings, the same as their rivals who have however played one match more.
