Chennaiyin FC midfielder Harmanjot Singh Khabra has been suspended for four matches, including one automatic suspension, for breaching the All India Football Federation Disciplinary Code (Article 50) of Misconduct towards “match officials” in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League game against NorthEast United FC on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Khabra has also been fined Rs 300,000. Both Chennaiyin FC & NorthEast United FC have been fined Rs 50,000 each for misconduct towards the opponent team as per ISL Article 22.2.

In addition, the AIFF Disciplinary Committee has fined Chennaiyin FC Rs 100,000 for Team Misconduct (Article 53). The match, which resulted in a 2-0 win for NorthEast United FC, witnessed more than five Chennaiyin FC players getting booked at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.

With nine points from six matches, Chennai presently lie second in the table ahead of FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos FC on account of a better goal difference.
