Chennaiyin FC arrived in Goa today ahead of their opening fixture of the inaugural Hero Indian Super League against FC Goa. The team looked relaxed upon arrival at the hotel and would be as eager as the hosts to get off to a winning start.

Chennaiyin FC have reason to be optimistic as prolific young Colombian striker John Stiven Mendoza joined up with the squad today. The 22-year old attacker will provide additional fire-power upfront for Chennaiyin FC who already boast of the likes of Jeje Lalpekhlua, Balwant Singh and marquee Brazilian playmaker Elano in their ranks.

Chennaiyin FC take on FC Goa in their opening fixture on October 15 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao.
