The forward has been in great form, scoring his fifth goal in four matches. The Mariners broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half, when East Bengal keeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury (Atlético de Kolkata) with Katsumi Yusa shooting from the edge of the box. His effort was parried out by Subhasish Roy Chowdhury , only to fall to Balwant who slotted home with a calm finish through the legs of a defending player.Jaison Vales (Chennaiyin FC) scored his first goal of the Hero I-League as he opened the scoring for Salgaocar FC in their 3-1 win over Mumbai FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Vales found the net in the fifth minute itself as the ball fell to him from a blocked effort to tap home. Milagres Gonsalves (Kerala Blasters FC) also scored his first goal of the Hero I-League with a consolation goal for Mumbai FC in added time. Milagres dived in at the far post to nod home from Mohammed Rafi’s (Atlético de Kolkata) wonderfully floated cross.
