Fernandez, who has played in the state for three years under three different banners - Dempo, Vasco and Salgaocar – is upbeat about his return to Goa.When queried about captain Luis Garcia’s fitness, he replied, “That's entirely up to the coach, he calls the shots.”Fernandez also made it a point to praise former India captain and footballing icon Baichung Bhutia for becoming the first Indian to be inducted into the Asian Football Confederation Hall of Fame. “It’s not just a great moment for the player but also for the country and it’s time to rejoice and hold our heads high,” he said.Defender Nallapan Mohanraj, who also attended the press conference, said the team’s morale was high on the eve of the match. “The team had a very good pre-season and everyone got to know each other very well and we're gelling well together and we're working very hard,“ he explained.The Tamil left-back also made light of the ‘jinx’ of a Kolkata club not being able to win the I-League since its initiation in 2007-08 and said it would not apply to the ISL: “This is a new league altogether and as I said, we've been working hard, we're looking forward to this match and we're getting stronger day by day.”
