Atlético de Kolkata assistant coach Angel Diaz Barrachina.Atlético de Kolkata assistant coach Angel Diaz Barrachina was not too disappointed after his side dropped points in a 1-1 tie against Kerala Blasters FC at the Salt Lake Stadium. The Spaniard, who is deputising for suspended manager Antonio Habas, on the contrary pointed out at the post-match press conference that his side had tried to play good football and most importantly, they are still sitting atop the Hero Indian Super League table with 11 points.Barrachina blamed the loss of points in their last two home matches on their hectic schedule – they have played five matches so far, the most by any team in the Hero Indian Super League. “If you analyse the points we lost at home, we played at home after a long travel. There was about 48 hours to adjust after the long travel,” he said.Bustling Baljit Sahni, who gave the home side the lead in a keenly fought encounter, also echoed similar sentiments. When reminded about the pile driver with which he opened his account in the tournament, the Punjab striker replied, “It’s a good feeling to score for the team.”Baljit assured the media that he would keep on working hard and try to do even better for his side in the future. He has enjoyed fairly good outings in every match and his power packed strike was due reward for his unrelenting efforts and enterprise. On being asked if his goal was special considering it was scored past the famous former England international goalkeeper David James, Baljit replied. “It is not important to score against a particular custodian, every goal is important.”
