Atlético de Kolkata’s ace striker Iain Hume has been retained in a 23-man Canadian squad for their World Cup home and away qualifying matches against Mexico on March 25 and March 29 respectively.

After making a comeback to the national team for the first time in a year in a 1-0 friendly loss against the USA recently, the veteran attacker seems to be very much in head coach Benito Floro’s scheme of things, as his selection suggests.

32-year-old Hume scored 11 goals in ISL 2015, including two hat-tricks, and helped his team reach the semi-finals, where they lost to eventual champions Chennaiyin FC.
